" Why me?! There's a whole bunch of other people who have space in their houses! " Shikamaru said. " First, you don't pay bills so it's not 'your house' " Yoshino said. " But it is my house when you want me to clean " He muttered. " What? " She asked. " Er— nothing " He stuttered. " Anyways, Second, why would you want your girlfriend to sleep in some strangers house? " She asked. " She's not my girlfriend! She's a bully " He said. " Girlfriend, Bully, same thing. Just look at me and your father " She shrugged.

" You bullied dad? " He asked. " Yeah. Why's that surprising? " She asked. " Yeah, I guess it is strange that it would surprise me " He shrugged, earning a smack on the head. " I kinda had that coming... " He sweat dropped. Then there was a knock on the door. " I got it! Also she's sleeping in your room! " She said, running to the door. He groaned. Temari was there standing, she wore a regular white t-shirt, black leggings and her usual sandals. She had a few bags with her. " Welcome " She smiled.

" Thank you for letting me stay here " Temari Bows. " Don't be so formal! Your my sons girlfriend after all " She smiled. Temari blushed. " I-I'm not his girlfriend " She stuttered. She rolled her eyes. " So you too huh? " She asked, letting her past. " Shikamaru go show her up to your room now! " She orders. He groaned, grabbing her wrist and dragging her upstairs. " This is my room. Pretty basic right? Anyways just put your stuff wherever " He shrugged. She nodded.

She started unpacking. She placed a picture of her and her brothers on the dresser. She smiled at the picture. She really missed them. But when she was gone, she really missed Shikamaru too.

~Later~

Temari walked back into the room. She wore a white spaghetti strap t-shirt, and magenta shorts. Her hair was let down to her shoulders. She yawned, stretching. " Where am I supposed to sleep? " She asked. " On the bed " He shrugged. " W-with you? " She stuttered, blushing. " What? You wanna sleep on the floor? " He asked. " No..! " She said. " Then you can sleep on the bed " He said. " Hmm... " She blushed. " Relax. I'm not gonna do anything to you. " He rolled his eyes. " That's not what I meant— It doesn't matter " She said, sitting down.

" Your gonna sleep with that necklace on? " He asked. " I never take it off " She shrugged, pulling the covers over her body. Shikamaru turns off the lamp on his bedside. After a few minutes, Temari couldn't help but to whimper. She was afraid of the dark. " Are you okay? " Shikamaru groaned. He couldn't sleep with the sound of her whimpering. " Yeah... " She said. He turned the light back on, she was sitting up and crying. " Are you sure? " He asked. " ...no " She said. " What's the matter then? " He asked.

" I-I'm afraid of the dark " She said. " Hm, never figured you to be afraid of anything " He chuckled. " It's not funny you jerk " She pouts. " Sorry sorry. Do you wanna sleep with the lights on? " He asked. " No... I don't wanna make you uncomfortable in your own room " She said. " I don't mind seriously. If your scared I'll just keep the lights on " He shrugged. " Mmm-mmm... uhh... just Uhm " She said. " What? " He asked. " J-just hold my hand.. please " She said.

" Okay... " He yawns. He clasped his hand with hers before turning the light off. She holds it tighter, laying down next to him. She smiled softly, finally able to fall asleep now.

~The next morning~

" You can't lie to me now! I know for a fact that she's your girlfriend " Yoshino said. " What are you talking about? " Shikamaru asked. " I went into your room to make sure your not up playing Shogi, and I find the two of you holding hands while fast asleep. Is that not a sign? " She asked. Shikamaru rolled his eyes. " She's afraid of the dark and asked me to hold her hand " He explains. " Excuses, excuses " She rolled her eyes. " Now wake up Temari and tell her to get ready for breakfast and school. " She said.

He groaned, walking back to the bedroom. Turns out she'd already done all of those things. She was fixing her hair in the mirror into her usual ponytails. " Oh, good morning shorty " She smiled at him. " Good morning. My mom said to come for breakfast " He shrugged. " Alright " She said standing up.

~A few minutes later~

Shikaku was sitting drinking coffee and reading a news paper. " That's a pretty necklace Temari " Yoshino said. " Oh, thank you I got it from my friend when I was younger " She smiled. " It looks like a necklace I got from my old friend Jaco " She said, making Shikaku spit out his coffee. " Y'know, you guys should head off to school before your late " He said, pushing them outside. I can't let her see that thing again. It's been so long how does she remember that?! He thought.

~At school~

" R-really? " Temari asked. " Yeah. I noticed people tend to avoid you so I figured that must be super frustrating. Why don't you just come sit with me and my friends at Lunch? By the way my names Sakura " The pinkette smiled. This was the first time anyone besides Shikamaru talked to her. " Uh, sure " She said. " Cool! I'll see you later then " She smiled running off.

~At Lunch~

" This is TenTen " Sakura said. " Hi " She waves. " This is Ino " Sakura pointed to the blonde who smiled and waved. " Your spending a lot of time around Shikamaru. Is he your boyfriend? " Ino smirked. " N-no... " Temari blushed. " Why would I date such an annoying lazy idiot like that? " She muttered. " So you've got a crush on him then " She said. " I-I don't " She said. " Don't worry! We're your girls now! We've got your back " Ino said giving her an 'Okay' sign with her fingers. " Okay... maybe a little bit " She said.

" How long?! Spill! " She said. " Well... maybe since a kid.. maybe... " She said. " I think 'maybe' this is the cutest thing ever!! " She squealed making her blush darken. " Ino leave the poor girl alone. Anyways, we have another friend named Hinata, but she was running from someone so she left " She shrugged.
