A/N
Brace yourselves for a long one! My longest chapter to date actually? Excluding this Authors Note, it was at least 5000 words... So yeah. Long chapter.
There is also a Trigger warning through out this chapter, so if you are upset easily by sensitive topics feel free to skip those parts.
I'd also like to let you all know I really appreciate all the love you guys are giving this FanFic! I never expected anymore then 10 reads, let alone as over 1k! Thank you, thank you, thank you! ♡♡♡♡
Please! Enjoy!
___________________________《SEONGHWA P.O.V》
For weeks after their meeting, the Queen would sneak off in secret to see this man. Most times without me even knowing. I'd serch for hours all over hell. From the torture pits, all the way to the new arrivals. But I'd never find her. When I did find her, she would lie to me and say she was just off preparing her gift for the Ceremony of heirs.
Finally one day I had enough. The Ceremony of heirs was just a day away, and yet again the Queen was no where to be seen. So much had to be done! Outfits needing planning, speeches needed to be written, so much had to be done but how can it when the one person we needed was nowhere to be seen! With a loud, frustrated sigh I made my way around the kingdom in search for her.
I searched high and low, but no luck. I let out another frusterated sigh, leaning against a stone wall and sliding down until my knees were at my chest. Why now!? What was so important that she'd abandon her duties for? And why didn't she tell me...Just then, from the corner of my eye, I noticed a familiar flash of red. My head snapped towards that direction quickly and my eyes met with a familiar red cloak sweeping around the corner, in the direction leading towards the human world. Was that her? I had to find out.
I followed behind them in secret, keeping a good distance away at all times. The cloaked figure stopped at the enterence, looking side to side to make sure the coast was clear. As soon as they looked behind, their face could be seen from underneath the hood. I had no doubts in my mind now... It was her.
Where she was going, why she was sneaking around, I had no idea. But I knew for a fact that the uneasy feeling I had was returning. I watched as she disappeared through the entrance and I wasted no time to follow behind.
I followed her all the way to a small village, located near where we first found the Lycoris flower. She walked through, bowing her head slightly at the people she passed. Since when was she this friendly towards the humans? She stopped at a small shop just at the edge of the town. It was covered in various well maintained flowers, which she stopped to smell. I stood around the corner at a nearby building, watching her closely with a small smile on my face.
The smile faded as soon as a familiar man emerged from the shop. I squinted my eyes to get a better look. The man from the forest? Why was she here to see him??My question was answered moments later when the Queen lunged at the man, wrapping her arms tightly around his neck. Her hood fell right off, and I saw the exact moment her lips met his.
I had no words. My heart ached, so much so that it hurt. I gripped onto the wall, tears swelled up in my eyes, but I didn't feel sad. I felt angry.
I couldn't stand the sight anymore. I turned around and left right away.I avoided her once she returned, keeping my distance as much as I could. The most we spoke was to clarify arrangements for the ceremony, or discuss plan for new arrivals, but that was it.
