(Book written from Adela's POV unless y'all want a certain chapter in Prince Theo's POV:) )

Adela  [uh-day-la ]

"Good morning darlings," I smiled as I was greeted by the familiar oink noise.

I approached the small pen with my group of 6-week old piglets with their grain bucket. I crawled in as they all gathered around my feet.

"Woah guys, you'll all get fed." I giggled. I poured out the grain in their feeding dish as they attacked. I proceeded to count them.

"1, 2, ... 6, 7..." I trailed, "Where's the runt?" I asked the pigglets knowing they wouldn't answer me. I searched in their hut and found him curled up in the corner under the heat lamp. I sighed and picked him up before placing him in his own pen and getting more grain for him.

"Here you go buddy," I smiled.

I was glad dad gives me the responsibility of the pigs, they are my favorite. Don't get me wrong, I love all of our cows too but I am too old now to feed calves. That responsibility given to my little sister. And I would rather not milk. The chickens scare me, you know they eat everything right?

I fed the rest of the sows before making my way back up to the house.

We lived in a decent sized farm house in the country side, it housed our family well. I was met in the kitchen by my mom making eggs and bacon as we normally have for breakfast.

"Good morning mom," I smiled at her.

"Here's breakfast. Any plans today?" She questioned me.

"I think I'm going to spend time with Kassidy and Corey."

"Okay honey, make sure you shower first and check with dad about any other farm duties." I nodded and quickly ate my breakfast.

I snuck up to my room to grab some clothes before my shower, hoping to stay quiet enough to keep my siblings asleep so I didn't have to fight for our shared bathroom. Thankfully, it was Sunday and I didn't have school to rush for. I threw off my barn clothes and tossed them in a hamper separate from my school clothes, couldn't exactly let those smells mix now could I?

I wrapped myself in my robe and grabbed my phone. Once I entered the bathroom, I set my music to a country music playlist and turned the shower to hot. I caught my reflection in the mirror.

My long brown hair flowed straight to my rib cage with a few strands of straw stuck in it. My hazel eyes glowed in the florescent lighting of the bathroom. I had a very nice figure in addition to a pretty dark tan, not to be vain, working on a farm from the time you could walk would do that to you. I quickly sent a text to my group chat of friends before hopping into the shower.

I heard my phone chime with messages as I rinsed as many traces of the farm from my body as possible.

I got out and quickly read them.

Kass:

Yeah, we can meet up at my place if you want. I finished my chores.

Corey:

I'm down.

Me:

I'll be there soon.

I wrapped myself in my robe and returned to my bedroom for some clothes. It was decently warm out for fall so I decided on a cute jean skirt paired with a floral tank top and threw a white cardigan over top. I tied on a pair of white converse before deciding to switch to doing my hair. I ran a comb through the wet locks before settling on leaving it air dry. I grabbed my purse and left my room.
