Sunday goes by slowly, I'm trying to smother guilt when I'm forced to remove the battery from her phone, the mobile buzzing too often to be anything but conspicuous. I spends most of the morning pretending to explore Shinichi's house, like I assumes most children who've suddenly started to live in a mansion would.

In reality, I spends the day searching for the room where Yuusaku keeps his old case files. I've already searched his office, despite having grown up knowing the room is out of bounds.

Ahm may isa pa pala.

So I can't search the library yet - or Shinichi's computer(baka nandoon din kasi yon). I'll have to search them when he's asleep or else he'll notice.

The kitchen - but it's unlikely that photographs of dead bodies will find their way into a room that's meant to sate appetites, not force to disappear.

I didn't checked the room I usually stays in, but that's because years of sleepovers at the Kudo mansion have made me familiar with every inch within the walls. Shinichi's room hasn't been searched, but that's because it's Shinichi's room.

Searching shinichi's room? It's a bit uncomfortable.

It's not like Yuusaku would actually store any of his case files in his son's room anyway. Shinichi's dad may mess with his son at times, but he's never aimed to do anything cruel. And it would be cruel, I think, if he'd left murder files in the room of a son who can't bear to look at dead bodies. Although, to be perfectly honest, I doesn't think anyone's ever ready to see images of murder victims.

Pero... Malay mo diba?

Sneaking forward, I reaches my arm up to Shinichi's door, pulling it down. I pushed it open slightly when I hear footsteps pounding up the staircase.

"Anong ginagawa mo?"

His tone is laced with suspicion.

"Exploring." I said, crossing her arms. i huffs, as if this is supposed to be obvious. Aren't little kids meant to be a little bit moody sometimes? Sana gumana to "E ikaw Shinichi-nii-san?"

A strained smile stains Shinichi's lips as he crouches down to face mine. Ito ang isa sa gusto ko sa kanha, he constantly tries his hardest to make sure no one feels small when he's around.

Find... me?

Mukhang wala namang kakaiba. It's just a plain room for boys.

Above his desk, Shinichi's wall is littered with photographs. Pictures of Shinichi with his parents, with Sonoko, with me. There's pictures of Me at my karate competitions. Pictures of us in middle school, when we visited Okinawa on a class trip. Homework assignments and school books lay abandoned in a pile by his desk.
