(A/n: Something wholesome for my gal my_ugly_ducklings ✨💕. Dean is such an angel baby omg. Gotta protect him 🥰. May contain spoilers if you ain't beyond the 300 chaps. But hope you enjoy!)
Sunlight beamed through the branches overhead slightly blinding you from seeing anything. It wouldn't stop shining in your face no matter what direction you shift.
Sighing you give up trying to avoid it and continue eating your dripping ice cream. The heat today is excruciating.
Mori Dan has been making you run around to do his errands lately. Tirelessly running to go out of your way for others is not your style. Even if it is for a good cause.
He's been acting strange lately. Like he's trying to keep you away from the house a few hours a day. You've noticed this for at least two months already.
Every time you tried to show up he would ask if you complete every single task and double-check himself by going through confirmation via text message from his customers. God, he went to such lengths to keep you away it only made you glummer.
It's so not cool to keep secrets from your sis...
You finish the final bite of your ice cream, licking your hands clean from the sticky mess. Just as you were doing so your phone vibrates in your pocket.
Pulling it out you see Mori Dan's name across the notification bar.
Speak of the devil...
The text simply said to take the money up to the hospital for Ahan. Her payments were piling up and since he has been training so hard for the GoH tournament he hasn't had much time to do so himself.
Sometimes it seems like he cares about Ahan more than you. That's to be expected though seeing as how after RagnarÖk you were separated from Mori Jin for a few years.
It was only when you were walking on opposite sides of the street did you feel something similar to his presence. The moment you glanced across the road you could see a white light shining in his chest like a beacon.
That was the first time you noticed Mori Dan. Anxiously you followed him to a small apartment complex, spying on him for weeks until you felt confident that the similarities made his identity known.
It's hard to believe that was ten years ago now. Guess time doesn't wait for anyone. Not mortals anyway.
Their lives are so fleeting.
Ahan is the epitome of weakness. She wasn't even related to Mori Dan by blood like you, but she has been his priority. It's not like you didn't understand. She was fighting against illness. Of course, Mori would choose her. The both of you were eternal beings.
And if you had to put yourself in his shoes, you would do the same.
As difficult as others may find it to believe other than Mori, during RagnarÖk most of your physical body had been destroyed. You landed in a pile of rubbish and ashes, sight fading in and out.
Your body ached so much that you just wanted to quit but the cries of a pregnant woman crushed by remnants of a deteriorating building filled your ears.
Your physical body wasn't enough to save her but your fighting spirit was. In mere seconds your soul split from your body, entering her womb, and giving her the strength to get to safety. (A/n: yeah, you cast out an innocent baby to replace them! Shame....lol)
That's how you had been reborn.
The woman whose womb you entered cherished you as her own, seeing how there was no way possible her unborn child wasn't hers originally.
