JADE WEST didn't trust people. Ever since her father ran away from her mother to marry another woman met on a work trip, she told herself not to trust anyone, especially boys.

Boys, they were terribly pretty. But they also were liars, cheaters, heartbreakers. They could break your feelings in two pieces, but you will still chase after them until you'll give out. You could die for them, but they still won't be honest with you.

She was scared of boys, of human beings in general. So she started changing her style, buying the darkest clothes in the shop and getting pierces and tattoos, even without her mother's consent, just to scare people away.

It worked. Until sophomore year of high school, no one dared to talk to her, which made Jade's pride grow and grow.

Then, he arrived.

Beck Oliver. This was his name.

A handsome guy with a charming smile, tanned skin and long, silky hair. With his cool he could make every girl drool all over him, but he couldn't care less.

While all the ladies, from the prettiest to the hottest, flirted with him in the hallway and asked him out on a date, he only wanted Jade West.

He asked her out for the first time. She ignored him and walked away.

He asked her out a second time. She poured coffee on his shoes.

It went over and over for fourteen times, but he didn't give up. He wanted to break her walls.

On the fifteenth time, she accepted.

They both couldn't believe it. Their date was amazing, so they had another one, and another one. . .

One night, December 7th, they were laying on his bed, in his small RV, lost in their own thoughts.

They had been dating for four months by then, and they were both happy about it, even though she wouldn't show it.

He gently grabbed her hand, which made Jade turn to face him, butterfly in her stomach.

"You know. . ." Beck started, straighting up in his sit so that he could lean on the wall. "You. . ."

"I?" Jade smiled softly.

"You are the most beautiful person I've ever met."

The goth giggled and straightened up too, their faces only inches apart.

"I-I. . ." Beck took a deep breath, his hand on her neck. "We don't we make it official?"

She froze. "What?"

"Jade, baby. I know you have some. . . relationship issues but, I promise you, my love for you is not some white lie."

"Love for me?"

"You don't see it, Jade. I am in love with you and I want us to work. Trust me." he whispered.

She was speechless. She looked at him in the eyes, then put her lips on hers in a soft and sweet kiss. Butterflies in both of their stomachs, it was magical. It wasn't their first one. They had lots of kisses, but they were only pecks, goodbye kisses after a wonderful dinner spent together.

This one, instead, didn't say 'see you next friday', it was full of love, passion, even though it was chaste.

She delicately pulled back, licking her lips with a grin. "I think I'm in love with you, too."

here I am with another book :)
it'll have seven chapters so maybe I'll finish it.
