Chapter 15

*Kellin's POV*

I invited Avion's mother into the house and told her to sit at the table I wanted to talk to Avion alone. She wiped away her tears and leaned her head against the wall.

I rubbed her back,

"Babe?"

"I'm fine" she said she kept her head the wall.

"You sure?"

"I don't know I mean I just- I'm happy to see her but I'm so pissed. How can she leave me like that and come back? How did she even track me down?" She asked.

I shrugged and held her close to me. And pushed her blonde hair out of her eyes.

"I don't know,  the only way to know is to ask her."

Avion straightened.

"Then let's ask."

*Avion's POV*

I came parading into the kitchen walking past the table where my mom sat. She was looking around,

"Nice place" she smiled.

Kellin leaned against the doorway and I leaned on the counter with my arms crossed.

"What do you want?" I asked with a serious face.

She stood and ran a hand through the blonde hair we shared.  I really  did look like her wow. Same hair, eyes, nose and hands. The only differences  between us was she was older and she weighed more than me not much but she was heavier.

"Avion look I know you're mad-"

"Damn right I'm mad!" I said walking closer putting my hands on the counter.

"I know and I'm sorry" She told me playing with her fingers.

"You're sorry? That's all you have to say? Well sorry doesn't take away the years of abuse does it? It doesn't make these scars go away"

I showed her my arms and she gasped.

"Oh you didn't know?! Gee I wonder why oh because you left leaving me to slay my demons and whatever ones you left behind. Your ex husband is a jackass and you...you're a coward" I told her all in a rush.

Kellin rubbed my back,

"Babe calm down, you're going to have an anxiety attack"

My mother stepped closer to me and I backed up.

"Avion I didn't know. And I'm sorry I didn't bring you I just- I left without thinking. After Caleb-"

"Don't even go there! Caleb was the only one that gave a shit about me!"

Kellin pulled my into a hug and I buried my face in his chest. He stroked my hair,

"Why did you come here?" I heard Kellin ask.

"I wanted to see my daughter and restart a new relationship."

I looked over at her and her eyes were pleading.

"Please Avion"

I pulled away from Kellin and walked up to her.

"We'll see. If you cut out again....we're done don't even show up on my doorstep."

She nodded and went to hug me and I backed away from her and nodded.

*Avion's Dad's POV*

I was going to be there soon as soon as I got some money for gas. I was almost out I looked everywhere and found a few dollars under my seat not enough but I would get more.

A few weeks later

*Kellin's POV*

Avion and her mother had been getting along great and it seemed like Avion forgave her. Perfect mother and daughter relationship I think it was something she secretly hoped for and never said so.

"Mom if you aren't ready in the next two minutes we're leaving without you!" Avion called up the stairs.

"I'm coming" Karen yelled coming down the stairs.

Basically she was living with us I didn't mind and I knew Avion liked having her mom close to her.

"Who's going to be at the show babe?" Avion asked.

"Um the guys obviously. But  Matty and Brittany and everyone except Sophia I guess she's busy" I said fixing my hat since I shook my hair.

"Ready to go?" Karen asked.

"Yeah. "

We all walked out and got in the car.

"So Kellin it's pretty cool you being in a band that's so successful you guys are talented" Karen told me.

I smiled and looked at her in the rear  or mirror.

"Thank you Karen nice to hear. Glad you like our music"  I said smiling.

I looked at Avion who was looking out the front window. Her blonde hair was in a braid over shoulder and her blue eyes looked nice with her make up. Even though she talked here and there she had been so quite. She looked as if she had a lot on her mind.

"Baby you okay?" I asked glancing at her.

Avion nodded.

*Avion's POV*

Kellin was on stage and I was standing next to my mom and the girls dancing a little when I felt a tap on my shoulder.

I turned and smiled seeing Matty Mullins and his wife Brittany. I hugged him and he chuckled,

"Matty hey!"

I pulled away and hugged Brittany who smiled.

"Hello" my mom said.

"Oh Matty this is my mom, mom this is Matty and his wife Brittany friends of ours." 

Matty shook her hand and Brittany said hello and came to stand by me. Matty was handed a microphone and he waited for his signal to come on stage. I watched them as they sang Congratulations.  I liked the song but the music video was kind of stupid but I didn't tell Kellin that.

"You okay Avion?" Brittany asked putting a hand on my shoulder.

I sighed did I really look that bad.

"Is it that obvious something is bothering me? Kellin asked the same time thing."

I looked at Brittany and did a slight smile.

"Well yeah...it's written on your face" she explained.

I played  with the end of my braid.

"I don't know I just have this weird feeling like something bad is going not happen."

And it was true I had this odd feeling. All my years of abuse made me feel certain ways and predict certain things. And this feeling I was getting was bad but I didn't know why.
