(POV bokuto)
My hand made contact with the ball and slammed down onto the wooden floor.
"HEY HEY HEY!" I exclaimed joyously. Akaashi looked my way and I think I might've even seen him smile, just a little.
"AKAASHI DID YOU SEE THAT. THAT WAS SUCH A GOOD SPIKE HAHA!" I was jumping around hysterically. Akaashi looked my way again.
"Yeah it was a good spike, Bokuto san." I smiled and gave him a thumbs up. We had won the match against nekoma with that point and that made me feel even better.
"Nekoma still put up a good fight though," Akaashi said, "it was a close call." I rolled my eyes.
"Who cares, 'kaashi, WE WON!" I laughed.
"Stop calling me that Bokuto san. But yes, I guess your right, we did still win and it was because of you." Akaashi smiled slightly and then left for the showers. I felt my face heating up and there were butterflies in my stomach. There it is again I thought that feeling.

I took a deep breathe and after a few seconds the feeling was gone. I grabbed my gym bag and headed for the showers.

**Time skip to after the shower**

I got into my pajamas and entered the room where I was spending the night. We were holding the practice match at nekoma so we slept in some small extra rooms that only fit two to three people. Akaashi was my roommate. He was already sitting on his futon, reading his very long book.
"What are you reading, Akaashi?" I asked. He looked up from his book.
"Gone With the Wind," he replied shortly. I gave him a confused look, hoping he would explain a little more. He sighed and closed his book.
"It's a western book about the Civil War."
"Oh that's cool," I replied, "is it a historical fraction?" He shook his head and I thought I saw his face redden.
"No, Bokuto san, it's a romance."
"Oh, okay!" I replied, "you can go back to reading again, I'm going to visit Kuroo." Akaashi nodded and his focus was brought back to his book. I felt that fuzzy feeling again. Like I was weightless and floating in the middle of nowhere. My stomach was churning but it wasn't a very terrible feeling either.

I had to ask Kuroo. I closed the door behind me and started heading towards Kuroo's room. When I opened the door, I thought I saw Kenma quickly pulling his hand away from Kuroo's, and I smirked.
"May I come in, lovebirds." I asked. Kuroo rolled his eyes and Kenma flat out ignored me.
"What do you want, Bokuto?" Kuroo asked, "are you gonna shove your win in our face." I shook my head.
"Do you really think I'm that shallow."
This time Kenma spoke up.
"Yes," he said plainly. I grunted and sat down next to Kuroo on his futon.

"Okay, if your not here for bragging, what do you want?" Kuroo asked me. I looked down at my feet.
"I-I think there's something wrong with me. Like I'm getting these weird feelings in like my stomach and my chest." Kuroo raised an eyebrow.
"What do you mean?" He asked. I sighed. I didn't realize how embarrassing it really was to describe out loud.
"I don't know, sometimes my heart like starts racing. And my palms get sweaty. And my chest tightens. And I-I feel like throwing up." Kuroo sighed.
"When do you have these feelings?" He said with a slight smirk on his face. I felt my face redden, but I couldn't quite understand why.
"W-well whenever I see Akaashi I guess..." I trail off. Kuroo jumps from the futon and starts jumping up and down.
"Yes!" He exclaims, "Kenma you owe me ten dollars!"
"I owe you nothing!" Kenma hissed back.
"Oh come on you can't just back out of a bet!" Kuroo whined.
"Um what are you talking about?" I interrupted.

Kuroo looked down at my confused face and chuckled.
"Bokuto, you obviously like Akaashi." I raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, he's my best friend?" Kuroo rolled his eyes.
"I mean more than friends Bokuto." He replied. I take a second to think it over. I did think Akaashi was quite remarkable. And pretty....and smart...and- OH MY GOD IM IN LOVE WITH AKAASHI. I jumped up from the futon.
"No no no no no," I started to walk around the tiny room.
"What is it Bokuto?" Kuroo asked.
"Kuroo, guys aren't supposed to like other guys like that! I-it's not natural!" Kuroo gave me a mean look.
"What about kenma and me?" He asked. Kenma flicked his forehead.
"Stop telling random people that!"
"How is Bokuto random?"  Kuroo asked. Kenma just grunted and rolled his eyes.

"Kuroo, what am I supposed to do?" Kuroo looked up at me and chuckled.
"Ask him out of course!" My eyes widened.
"Kuroo, I cant do that! There's no way Akaashi likes me! He isn't even into boys!" I  whisper-screamed. Kuroo chuckled. Then that chuckle turned into hysterical laughter. I could see he was close to tears.
"Bokuto! You didn't know Akaashi was gay! HAHA THATS HILARIOUS!" He giggles.
"What do you mean?" Kuroo stopped laughing.
"Akaashi came out to me a few months ago. And I can tell he has his eyes on you. Even before he came out I just knew." This made me blush and I looked away.
"A-Akaashi is...gay?" I questioned. Kuroo nodded.
"Look I helped you with your problem, and I even gave you a great solution, so can you LEAVE. I'm tired!" Kuroo pushed me out of the room and slammed the door shut. I was about to walk in but I heard the sound of the door locking and decided not to bother. I stood there for a couple of seconds to recollect all the new information I have gathered. I like Akaashi. No, I love him. Akaashi is gay. I-I'm gay? I took a deep breathe and decided that I was going to ask him, just like Kuroo told me to. I started to walk towards the direction of Aakashi's and my room.
