(POV Akaashi)

It's been about an hour since the doctor came in to give his analysis and Bokuto and I had our talk. Now I was just talking with my boyfriend, trying to get the hospital out of his mind.  Bokuto was now looking out of the window in a day dream.
"Wanna do something?" I asked. He snapped back to reality.
"Uh, sure." My distractions obviously weren't working like I thought they would.
"How about truth or dare?" Bokuto looks at the ceiling.
"Yeah, sure. You go first." I nod.
"Truth or d-"
"Truth."
"Okay, what's the worst nightmare you've ever had?" Bokuto sighed.
"This one." I went silent.
"Bokuto, is there something I can do?"
"I don't think you get it Akaashi, I don't want you to go out of your way for some worthless piece of shit like me." I slap Bokuto on the face, light enough not to actually hurt him, but hard enough to get my pint across.
"What is wrong with you! Why would you say that about yourself?" Bokuto looked into my eyes. He looked so tired. There was a discoloration in his face and his eyes dropped down. His eyes looked dull and out of focus.
"Akaashi, it's not like I can help it."
"Bokuto, you have to try."
"I am! Can't you see that!"  Bokuto paced around the room.
"I am..I am..I am." He continued.
"Maybe you need to sleep?" I suggest. Bokuto nods.

(POV Bokuto)
I snuggle up next to Akaashi and press my face against his chest. He was so warm. I was cold. Akaashi rested his chin on my head which made my body relax and soon enough I went to sleep, and the dream I had wasn't one I like to remember.

I woke up in my hospital bed with a gasp. There was cold sweat dripping down my face and I appeared to be crying. What happened? The doctor walked through the door just then.
"Hello, Bokuto."
"Where's Akaashi," I had just noticed my missing boyfriend. The doctor gave me a confused look.
"Akaashi?" He must not know his name I thought.
"The tall fellow, black hair, calm?" The doctor looked concerned.
"Bokuto, are you talking about that boy who used to visit?" My heart stopped.
"Used to?" He sat next to me.
"Yes, used to. About five months ago, that's when he stopped."
"F-five months. I've been here two days.." the room started to spin.
"Bokuto, I think you're just a little delirious right now. You've been here six months."
"B-but...he promised."
"Who promised what?"
"He promised..he promised he'd stay with me forever!" The doctor's face changed, not in emotion, but physical form. It morphed into non other than Akaashi.
"Your just crazy, Bokuto, why do you think I stopped coming here? Your fucking insane." Akaashi pushed me and I started to fall. Just fall. Not from anywhere. Not to anywhere.

I sat up from the bed let out a breath.
"What is it, Bokuto? I was just getting some water." Akaashi was standing there with a glass of cold water, looking gorgeous as ever.
"It's nothing." I replied flatly.
"The doctor will be here soon, you should probably start getting up." I agreed and got out of bed. I was still dazed from the dream when the doctor came in.
"Hello there, Bokuto, we are ready for you to take the tests. Did your parents sign the forms?" I looked at Akaashi.
"They did, sir." He probably made them come when I was sleeping on purpose. He was a great boyfriend.
"Okay then we are ready to start, yeah?" I nodded and tried to swallow a lump in my throat that was forming. Akaashi seemed to notice my change in mood too.
"Can I come with him, sir? He is kind of afraid of hospitals and-"
"Sorry, but you can't." My hands started to sweat. Akaashi couldn't come? How was I supposed to do this without him?
"Wait!" I screamed, "I-I cant go without him!" Akaashi looked at me with worry.
"I'm sorry but there isn't any visitors allowed."
"We'll make an exception. I-I can't go without him!"
"Bokuto, your parents already signed the forms. You have to do this."
"NO NO I CAN'T! AKAASHI YOU PROMISED YOU'D STAY WITH ME FOREVER!"
