A Demon's Love

Chapter 4

"How do you get anything done?" Charlotte says as we walked down the hallway towards the dining room.
"You mean with Mason around?" I chuckled. "I simply don't. The man's a huge distraction."
Charlotte sighed dreamily." I would love to be in your shoes Sage."
I smile to myself as we reached the arch way of the dining room.
A slight shiver went down my back, causing me to pause.
I looked around, seeing that Charlotte already walked ahead of me and clearly still in a dream like state.
I shrug my shoulders, dismissing the feeling and I took a step forward but yet again I stopped.
In a sudden blur, there was a minty breath on my neck.
"Hello Sage."
I reeled back a few steps, automatically taking a fighting stance but then I realized who it was and relaxed slightly.
Mason smiled at me." Awe that's cute."
He gestured to my stance which I straightened.
"You really are the my little firecracker." He says.
I watched him for a moment. "Your?"
"Well of course Sage."
He took a few steps forward, towering over me.
Mason held out his hand." Shall we?"
Without a second thought, I took his hand as he lead us into the dining room.
No one seemingly noticed our absence.. thankfully.
I took a seat beside Charlotte whose eyes were fixed on Mason as he moved around the room so gracefully.

After an hour and some, dinner was over.
Charlotte and my parents went to the opera. It wasn't my ideal way to end my night so I opted out of going with them.
Rita and Oliver went out to buy more supplies for another party tomorrow evening, which more or less left me in the care of Mason for a while.
I roamed around by myself, aimlessly at this point before getting bored and returning to my room.
I  tied my hair in a loose ponytail  before I eased out of my tight dinner dress.
I caught my reflection in the mirror.
Geez I look tired.
I sighed as I walked into the bathroom, grabbing a bottle of lotion from by the sink.
I let out a scream as I reentered the bedroom, hand over heart.
Mason's gaze fell on me and a ghost of a smile crossed his lips.
"Oh, I didn't mean to scare you Sage." He says.
I shook my head." It's fine. I just wish you would make some noise more often."
"I did knock first."
"I didn't hear you." I mumbled.
We stared at each other for a moment.
Him in a collared dress shirt with tight fitting pants and me in a bra and panty.
"Do you need help with something?" Mason asks now.
"Um...no" I reply quickly.
He took a step forward." Are you sure?"
I subconsciously took a step back, my back hitting the wall.
"I'm sure..."
Mason trapped me between him and the wall, a smirk on his face as he looked down at me.
He brushes some loose hair behind my ear, and tiles my face upwards so that all I could see is his handsome face.
His eyes lingered on my lips for a second and he looked like he was fighting with himself.
"Do it.." I whispered, knowing that he wanted to kiss me and well I wanted him to kiss me too.
He leaned in, brushing his lips against mine lightly for a moment before deepened the kiss.
He was gentle as though he feared he would hurt me but I roughly pulled him closer to me as to tell him that it was okay to be rougher with me.
He seemed to get the message as he roughly kissed me.
It was pure ecstasy.
I have never had someone kiss me with such passion and lust.
"Sage.." Mason's breathing was heavy as he pulled away but not removing his hands from my hips.
"Yes?"
"I can't let this get much further than this right now."
I furrowed my eyebrows in raising annoyance.
He noticed my expression.
"I said right now Sage. I don't mean permanently." Mason says, a smirk on his face.
"Why not now. The house is basically empty." I say.
He shook his head." No, it isn't. Everyone is back on the property."
"How do you-"
"Miss Sage! We are back." Oliver's voice echo out from downstairs.
Mason stepped back, readjusting himself and trying to hide his stiffen member.
He looked down at his pants, slight annoyance on his face before turning his attention back to me.
There were footsteps approaching.
"Where is she? And where's Mason? Usually by now he would've made an appearance." Oliver's voice sounded again.
"He's probably with her. Might just be me but don't you think he's taken a liking to Miss Sage?" Rita's voice answered.
The footsteps stopped right outside the door.
By now, I slipped on a robe and let down my hair to make it seem like I had just taken a bath and Mason was here to help me.
"He's her right hand. Of course, he likes her." Oliver answered.
"That's probably just it. Anyway we should check if she's in her room." Rita says then there a knock at the door.
"Miss Sage. It's Rita"
"Yes?" I answer.
Mason took a few steps toward the bathroom.
She opened the door, popping her head in first.
"I just came to tell you that everyone has arrived back now. Is Mason here with you?"
As soon as she said that, Mason casually walked out of the bathroom.
Clearly he was trying to give the impression that he was helping me.
"Oh there you are. Were you with Miss Sage the whole time we were gone?" Rita asked.
"No, I came a few minutes ago to help with her bath. Is there something wrong?" Mason gave a very convincing fake look of worry.
"No.." Rita's eyes fell on me." Everything is okay. Oliver and I would like to go over the menu for tomorrow's dinner party."
"Okay then. Give me 5 minutes, I'm still helping Miss Sage." He turned but paused." I assume Miss Charlotte has already gone to bed."
"No. She's in the library."
Mason cocked an eyebrow, narrowing his eyes at Rita.
"See to our guest first then we can discuss the menu." His tone was clipped.
"But-" She started but cut herself off instead she just nodded stiffly and exited the room, closing the door behind her.
Mason turned his attention on me and I must admit.. I felt nervous.
Mason could be more scary than I thought.
He leaned down and kissed me softly.
"Get some sleep okay?" He whispered as he caressed my face.
I leaned into his warm touch for a moment before nodding.
I watched him leave my bedroom, before I climbed into bed.
