Chapter eleven Grom night-Luz pov

 I wish this feeling would go away but I'm scared. What if Amity thinks I look stupid or maybe I'm not good enough for her. I try to get all these bad thoughts out of my head as I pace back and forth in my bedroom. "Hey kid you almost ready" I hear Eda yelling from the downstairs "yup almost ready. Ok," I look at myself in the mirror "from the heart Luz you got this." Before I head downstairs I grab a necklace I bought from the mall without Amity knowing "I hope she'll like it." Hey, what took you so long were going to be late. Sorry, Eda, just nerves are getting the best of me. "I see" she looks at me like she always does when she knows I'm not alright. Listen Luz it'll be ok I promise Amity will love every second with you. Her word once again made that feeling I had just disappeared. Thanks, Eda I don't know what I would do without you.
