"Lauraaaa, iiisss thhhhatttt youuuuu?" My mom slurs from the kitchen.

"Yeah mom its me!" I shout back while getting up and making my way to the kitchen. As I'm approaching the door a faint sound comes through it. As I get loser I start to hear the lyrics

Take me to church I could worship like a dog....

I open the door slightly to find my mom on the floor with a bits of broken glass scattered. She has a glass half full of red wine in one hand an a knife in the other. She's singing the song very faintly to herself drowning in her sorrow.

I have to get the knife away from her. The last time she had a knife she cut both her arms and stabbed her leg.

I open the door more and creeped in. She heard my footsteps and looked up at me. Mascra was running down her cheeks her lipstick was all messed up. I hated seeing my mom like this but I knew it was for one reason only. Her new boyfriend dumped her.

"I'm soooo fffuuckiing wooorthhhlessss..." She slurs.

"Mom, your not worthless, your very valuable to me and my dad,"

"Yourrr ffuucckinng fatheerrr doeesntt llovve mee. He fucckking cheated on me with another girrlll!!!"

"Mom, he didn't cheat on you! The witch put her arms around him and kissed when you were looking!"

"Shuuutt uuppp Lauraa!!! I knooowww wwwhattt I saw!!"

"Soo fuckinggg usselesss!!" She screams out while raising the knife.

I grab the knife before she crashes down stabbing herself. I throw the knife into the sink and grouch down next to my mom. I take her hair out of her face and tie it up into a messy bun.

She moans, whimpering and trying to push me away but it isn't working because she's so wasted that her shove feels like a soft push.

Taking the tissue from the island I bend down and wipe her face. As I'm willing her face my favorite song comes on and I sing along.

Tough girl
In the fast lane
No time for love
No time for hate

She stopped whimpering and moaning to listen to me. She kept a strong gaze at me as I sang and looked at me with awe...

No drama,no time
For games
Tough girl
Whose soul aches

I grabbed her by the waist and she wrapped an arm around me. I helped her up on her feet and sat her on the high chair a in the kitchen. I removed her shoes and slowly unzipped her dress. While still singing...

I come home ,On my own
Check my phone
Nothing, though
Act busy
Order in
Pay TV
It's agony

She was finally out of her dress and just in linger. I quickly went out the room to get her sandles in the lounge. I raced back to find her still there. Singing along to the chorus even though her voice was shaky but still sounded beautiful as ever...
