 “Oh thank god.” She breathed out.

“What?” I asked as I went over to the window too and I saw the rest of my family except Riley and Nan.

"Our cavalry is here.”

Dante's POV:

I felt like I had been out on the town for a hard night of drinking and then got hit by a semi truck for good measure. The smell of magic was strong in the air and my head hurt just from opening my eyes. Magic was the only thing that could have done this and made me feel this bad. I don't remember drinking and if I'd have been drinking then Bella would have killed me. To confirm my suspicions there was a note where Bella should be and I opened it before starting to read it.

How could Kellien have done this to us? How could he have gone off like this? Does he not remember what happened the last time? How bad that man is and how much he wants us all dead? Why the hell was I cursed with such a rambunctious son? What did I do to deserve such a danger seeking son? Oh yeah, his mother was exactly the same.

I needed coffee and not the normal kind, the strong one that could have you complete a marathon. I had to wake the rest of my family up, save my son and his mother and then ground my son till he is over 100 years old. I focused on my magic and on trying to push this feeling of drunkeness from my system. I then went over to the spell book like Bella had and grabbed the pestle and mortar to crush the ingredients together. My head was still banging a little and this was really hard for me to do. I inhaled a little bit of the powder and the effects of the sleeping spell my son had put on me wore off and I felt like the coffee was in my system.

I got up, got dressed into jeans, t-shirt and boots before going around the house to find my family. My mother was passed out in the kitchen and had cake batter on her shirt. The bowl that had obviously been in her arms was on the floor with the rest of the batter spilling out of it. I took a pinch full of the powder and sprinkled it on my mum's face. She opened her eyes and groaned as her hand went to her head. It would go in a few minutes, but the first moment after you've woken up is like being kicked to death.

"What happened?" She asked me as she sat up and looked at the mess that was all over her and the kitchen before groaning again.

"I'll tell you when I've woken the rest of the family up, clean yourself up and meet me in the living room mum." I told her and went off to find the next person in my family. Sterling was in the living room with the remote in his hand and the TV was blaring some action movie. I sprinkled the powder on his face too and he came awake quickly too. He groaned and I could guess what was going through his head, 'was I drinking?' and it was the same thing that went through my head.

"What the hell?" He asked as the head ache went away.

"Tell you in a minute, going to go wake up the rest of the family." I told him and went off to find other members of the family. I went into Riley's bedroom and luckily Riley was in his cot, not on the floor or hurt and I did let out a sigh of relief. Elisa was in here too and she was asleep on the floor by the cot. She'd obviously just put Riley down when the spell hit. I woke up Elisa first and she moaned out in pain as she looked up at me.

"Urgh,feels like magic." Elisa groaned.

"Do you want me to wake Riley or let him come around in his own time?" I asked.

"If I let him sleep, will he wake up without this headache?"

"Yep."

"Then let him sleep or he is going to scream the house down." Elisa moaned as she got up and went down to the living room like I told her to as I left the room to find my dad. I went into his office and he was slumped in his chair behind his desk. I went over to him and sprinkled the powder on his face too. Dad jumped awake all wide eyed and then moaned in pain as he put his hand to his head.
