Chapter 4

Hi I hope everyone has had a lovely week.. If you're British you'll know we are coming out of lockdown on the 2nd and I am so excited, I just received a Christmas present through the post from my brother which I can't open until then and it kinda makes me sad that its only gonna be me, my mum and sister this year (I always have a big Christmas)

But anyway back to the story, I hope you like it please vote and comment :D

Me and Mario have been speaking for a couple of months now and have become really close, I speak to him constantly, we still haven't met up yet, every time I ask him he always has an excuse and I just brush it off but something is bugging the back of my brain about it. Joey has noticed that I started speaking to someone because whenever I was with him and my phone went off I'd immediately answer it.

Usually when I am in the company of friends or family, I never once pick up my phone because I love the importance of interacting with each other like how it was growing up, when there was no such thing as phones. We used to have these Nokia brick phones, with two games on it; Snakes and Space Invaders. Space Invaders was my favourite phone game. And if the ringtones weren't your favourite sounds of all times, did you even have a good childhood? In order to have a song on your phone, you had to put the phone close to the tv and record; that was our Spotify back then.

We used to have a Nintendo 64 and I used to bang that out everyday, sometimes me and my siblings would fight over it, over whose turn it was and what game we should play on it. Sometimes we'd even go to the extent of switching off the console out of spite and end up being chased round the house by the person who was playing the game; those were fun times. Definitely my favourite games were Super Mario 64 and Banjo Kazooie.

Then as we got older more consoles started coming out; PlayStation 1 and 2, GameCube and PSP. PSP was for the cool kids that didn't want the complication of plugging in your console and hooking it to a tv, a PSP was like an iPhone for back then that was only used for games.

Me and Nathan would always get our parents to buy us games for our PlayStation and our favourite games of all times, till this day, will always be, Crash Bandicoot, Tekkan, Mortal Combat and Grand Theft Auto. Super Mario Sunshine and Def Jam Fight For NY was for the GameCube. We were on it twenty four-seven. Sometimes we would even see sunlight creep into the curtains because we would be up all night playing on the PlayStation or the GameCube and our parents would tell us off every time.

Ezekiel, my oldest brother, would always play Zelda and he was in love with the Final Fantasy franchise. Something about my childhood will always bring a warm feeling inside of me, just hearing the names of things or remembering a certain memory will always bring joy to my heart and tears to my eyes.

Today I am going out with Chloe to get our nails done, its rare that I get my nails done but Chloe begged me to come with her so I happily agreed but what she doesn't know is, I am going to surprise her with a spa instead. She thinks I am coming with her to get our nails done, I cannot wait to see the look on her face. I have booked a weekend for us to spend in a one bedroom suite at the Park Plaza Hotel in Westminster; we're besties so no need to get separate beds. It has a spa with swimming pool and sauna and multiple restaurants, I know she'll love it.

I pack her a bag of clothes and put it in the boot of my car. At one point in our lives she decided to move a whole family-sized suitcase into my wardrobe so that whenever she stays here, she doesn't have to pack. Even though I said to her I can give her my clothes. I guess its that feeling of wanting your own things although it is being offered to you on a plate, which I totally understand because I do the exact same thing.

She's gonna be here any minute so I need to make sure I am ready before she gets here. I get in the shower not before picking out the clothes I'm going to wear today.
