Chapter 1 - The Two Friends and Their Plan

This is my first story! Hope you like it!

Emmi Jones. A regular Angel that lived above the clouds with her family and friends; protecting her assigned child, Tina Marcel, and living a happy life. As she sat on the edge of her bed, brushing her wings, she looked around to see the photos on the walls.

One was of her, and her best friend, Kimberly Golding, but she preferred everyone to call her just Kim. Her assigned child, Edgar Moore, was a good friend of Tina's, so Kim and Emmi never felt too far away from each other, or missed out on a single beat of their lives.

For all they knew, their lives were perfect, and some day, they would find their princes and get married and live happily ever after, but what they didn't know, was that their princes, were just across the meadow. A place they were never allowed to go to, a place no angel had ever stepped inside. But she didn't know, and she didn't care.

She made her way to Kim's place and pulled the golden wing shaped knocker. Kim opened the door and let her in, they moved over to her balcony, where they had a clear view of the Valley Of Darkness that resided on the Northern end of Angelsville.

Never before now, had they ever even considered the possibility of leaving Angelsville, but Emmi had a weird thirst for adventure that Kim shared.

"Let's go somewhere." Emmi said. Kim looked upset. "Where?" She asked. "We've seen all of Angelsville, and I would die rather than go to the Valley Of Devils." She said.

"Hey," Emmi said in a soothing tone. "We don't have to go to the Valley of Devils, because even speaking- or rather just thinking of that place gives me shivers. No," She continued. "I was thinking maybe we could- you know, maybe go to t-that place in the human world. The - the Violet Mountain? 15 miles from where Tina lives?"

Kim thought it over. There was nothing wrong with it, except...Angels couldn't fly in mountains because there was a lot of chance of them being spotted. So they had to travel on-foot. No biggie. They would come back as soon as they could, and come back early if their children needed them. So Kim agreed and the two decided to meet up outside Tina's house later that evening, after both of the kids had gone to bed.

The rest of their day passed event less as they packed up a picnic basket to carry along. As the sky became dark and the clouds began to fade, the moon came out to light the black sky.

Kim and Em changed a smile and began to walk. Even though no one could see them, they still were very cautious as they tried hard not to attract any sort of attention or bump into anyone. The reached the foot of the mountain after a 20 minute walk and stopped to examine the beauty of the view they had. Under the twilit sky, the Violet Mountain sent off a misleading impression of danger and darkness. But after all the trips they had been to with their kids, the had known that the mountain was inhabited by nothing but sheep or goats.

But what they didn't know, was that danger awaited them on the other side of the mountain.
