It's been 5 minutes, and the judge has still not arrived yet. Zayn looks besides Niall who was sitting next to him. He sees that Harry is not here too. Then he thinks that Harry and Louis are together somewhere. He just facepalms and still waits for both of them to arrive.
In this waiting he senses the sexual tension between him and Liam. Today Zayn was very angry. Not angry that he will lose the case, but angry that Liam is dating, is with someone who should have been him not that Maya girl. After two minutes he sees the judge finally coming. Everyone gets up to greet him, he mumbles a sorry and sits on the throne. Everyone sits back. When Zayn sits back he see that Harry is back, his long hair is messy and his shirt looks crinkled. Louis is same but his coat and his wig is hiding it all (yeah just imagine him with the white hair wig the judges wear). His lips looks red and bruised.
"I am sorry for my delay. I was busy with someon-thing" he quickly corrects himself. From the corner of his eye he can see harry sniffle a laugh."Moving ahead, we will first call Dr Payne to present his last evidence and then I will give my judgement based on that."
"I would like Ms Maya Henry to stand in the witness box and Shahid on the other side." Liam requests. Maya quickly stands up and stands at her place as if she is excited and wants to do it quick. On the other hand Shahid is taking his own sweet time, as if he is regretting to come here. When he finally reaches Liam starts to speak.
"Maya, tell me what have you witnessed in this whole murder case" Liam asks. Zayn cringes at the way Liam went from all worky to friendly.
"I witnessed the murder taking place. I witnessed this man murdering Briana. I witnessed Eleanor crying because Briana was bleeding. I called the ambulance and police too. I was with Eleanor the whole time, until I knew I had to give my proof to in the case. I didn't want to get involved in court matters so I backed off. And today I am here because Liam convinced me and assured me no harm." She says, putting her hand over Liam's.
Zayn see all this and just glares at thier hands."Mr Malik do have any questions to ask?" Louis asks with a smirk and eyes Zayn waiting for his reply. Zayn doesn't says anything and just gets up and makes his way towards Maya and Liam. Liam quickly moves his hands and clears his throat when he see Zayn still looking at their hands.
"Ms Henry, can you tell me why were you with them? I mean as far as I know Eleanor says that they both were on a date soooo...." Zayn just hangs the question there.
"I was passing by the Street, I was on my way back home and I see my roomate getting murdered" she says tears falling from her eyes. Liam was about to wipe those tears with his bare hands, but Zayn stops him and hands her a handkerchief.
She takes the handkerchief from him and wipes her tears, her foundation all going in the cloth. She gives it back to Zayn without knowing that she has left some makeup. Zayn just snatches it and walks back to his seat.
"Right, shall I proceed?" Liam asks and Louis just nods, the smirk still not leaving it's place.
"Maya you can go a sit down on your place, thank you. Well well well, hello Mr Khan." He says walking over to him."Can you tell me what are your opinions on gay and lesbian people?" Liam asks.
"Well I am actually homophobic so I hate them. Nature has created a difference between the gender for a reason." Shahid says proudly.
"Is this the reason you killed Briana? I mean as per my sources I have found out that you bully the beautiful couple." Liam says anger evident in his tone.
"I haven't murdered her. I just bully her but that doesn't mean I will murder someone." Shahid says in a duh tone.
"Oh come on, just tell the truth already! We know you have and if you haven't what's you say on the weapon we have found huh?" Liam asks in the same duh tone as Shahid. He sees that Shahid starts fumbling with his fingers and his hands are clampy. He smirks at his achievement to make him nervous.
"I-I haven't murdered anyone. The r-reports a-are fake." Shahid says almost trying to find the right words.
"Oh so now the forensic doctors gives us the wrong reports huh? Why don't you just say the truth already. I know you have done it, just get it out. Look if you say it now, there a lot of chances of your lawyer helping you to reduce your punishment." He says as if he is whispering those things to him but it's audible to all.
"OBJECTION My lord, my client is being blackmailed." Zayn's screams.
"Objection overruled" Louis says not even leaving his glance from Shahid and Liam.
During this whole time Shahid looks towards his uncle who just mouths an 'no telling'. He sighs heavily and starts to cry.
"YES, YES I HAVE DONE THE MURDER. I have killed Briana. But I swear my intention was only to hit her, by mistakely she died. I have even removed the CCTV footage with the help of my uncle's bodygard. I lied to the court. But now I regret it. I know I am devastated. But this is all because of you-" He says pointing towards Liam. Liam raises his eyebrows and points towards himself with a me?? look."- yes you, I have already done one, so let me proceed and do my second one" he says with a smirk.
At first Liam is confused, but when his neck meets with some clampy hands chocking him to death, he gets what he meant. Shahid is chocking him to death.
He tries to remove his hands from his neck, but his grip is too tight because of his rage. From the corner of his eyes, he can see Louis continuously hitting the hammer and screaming "ORDER ORDER" But that doesn't stop him. Finally the grip from his neck is lossened. He coughs to get back his breathing. He looked up and saw Zayn slapping Shahid right across his face. It was damn hard, as if he has removed his anger on him. Liam was almost scared by Zayn after the voice which echoed after the slap. It was too loud, as if someone has dropped a pile of books harshly on the table. He looks at Louis who has finally stopped the hammering and sees this whole act with a 'what the fuck just happened' look and a smirk on his face. Liam is just confused on why is Louis smirking so much.
"You fucking touch him one more time I dare you, one more time, I will make sure your life is a living hell." Zayn warns Shahid and goes take the water bottle from the table and passes it to Liam, looking anywhere but him. He passes the same foundation handkerchief to Shahid to wipe his unstoppable tears now. What a crybaby Zayn thinks. Soon enough both the officers take him in thier hands.
Liam takes a sip from the bottle and gives it back to Zayn, mumbling a small thank you. Zayn doesn't take the bottle back, he just walks past Liam and sits back in his place, as if nothing has happened. Niall who was sitting besides him just shift his chair to keep a little space between Zayn and him. He is shit terrified of him now. He is almost glued to Harry. Harry pats his shoulder assuring him nothing will happen.
"Ahem Ahem" Louis clears the throat to catch everyone's attention from Liam and Zayn to him. He motions Liam to sit and continues his speech.
"Going through the case and the confession which happened right now, physically to mention, the court's judgement is that Mr Shahid Khan is guilty for the murder of Mr Briana. He sentenced to jail for 14years as its his first murder. And extra 7months is added as he tries for his second murder infront of the court. The people who have supported this murder, Jack, Cody and Ryan are in jail for 2 years. Mr Simon is under arrest in order of misusing the evidence for 18 months. The case is closed, the court is adjourned." With this Louis completes his talk and hits the hammer.
