Recap: Our reader and Spencer do the deed in hopes to get her mind off of Catherine.

You woke up the next morning to the sun peeking through Spencers windows. Spencer was still tangled up with you; it was as if he didn't move all night.

You knew today was going to be the start of trying to put your best friend away.

You let out a heavy sigh.

Why does this keep happening to me.

You rolled over to look at the man sleeping next to you. He looked so peaceful. This tortured, beautiful soul was wrapped up in you. You brought your hand up to brush the stray curls out of his face. He stirred opening his eyes. His beautiful hazel eyes.

"Good morning babydoll. How'd you sleep" Spencer's morning voice was raspy. Hot.

"Mornin' I slept alright. What about you." You werent lying. You had dreams all night of Catherine killing people. Killing your co-workers while you watched.

"Great. But only because you were next to me." You blushed as your phone starts ringing.

Catherine. Fuck.

"Spence, Cat is calling me. What do I do." You panicked. She cant know you know but yet she knows your voice when somethings wrong.

"Answer it. Act natural. You can do this."

You slid your thumb on the screen to answer the call.

"Hey Catherine. What are you doing up at 5 am"

"I just got back from my work trip and I know you're up this early. I figured I'd give you a call."

"I appreciate that Cat. How was your work trip."

"Ugh it was amazing. And speaking of work trips, I am coming down for a meeting in Quantico. We should meet up for dinner. I miss you. I'm going to be there for a week. What do you say?"

You looked at Spencer panicked. He nodded at you. Encouraging you to say yes.

"Yeah Cat, I'd love that. As long as we don't have a case I'll be there." You tried so hard to sound natural. But deep down you felt shattered. Like you are a vase that was glued back together only to be dropped.

"Yay! I am so excited. Okay how does Tuesday sound? I have a meeting on Monday and the rest of the week but I want to hear all about this boy of yours. I want to meet him so bring him along."

"I will Cat. I have to get ready for work. Ill pick us a place to eat. I love you so much Cat. Always."

"Always."

As you hung up, you couldn't help but feel the tears pricking the back of your eyes. Spencer didn't say anything as he wrapped you up in him. You two sat like that for a while. Him just holding you, letting you cry into his chest. He knew nothing he could say would help. Being quiet was his best option.
