(Canon Character)'s friends had dared them to try and befriend the mute boy in school. If they succeeded, they got to choose the groups plams for the rest of the school year, so of course they agreed. They started by simply talking to him, making as much conversation as they could during classes, which evolved into the two walking to classes together, studying with the other, and sometiens going into town to hang out.
Tim always seemed on edge though, they noticed, constantly fidgeting, looking out windows or behind his back, but the wrote it off as it being his anxiety.
It wasn't until they also caught a glimpse of the thing that Tim was scared of that they realized why he avoids people. Someone.. or something, was stalking the mute college student, and he couldn't tell anyone about it. He grew extremely nervous when (Canon Character) told him they'd seen it too, and started to push them away, pull in on himself all over again.
They had begun to really enjoy the other's company, since it was a oleasant change fron their rowdy friends, and they wanted to do what it took to help him. But how? When all Tim does is push them away now, the only way they could get him alone was if they managed to get into his private dorm room.
Luckily, they knew how to pick locks, and was waiting on Tim's dorm room couch when he returned from his last class of the day, just after lunch.
