Chapter 21

After what felt like hours, I gave up on trying to sleep and pushed the bed covers off me and sat up. I squinted my eyes when I realised it was still bright out.

" Ow ", I mumbled rubbing both my eyes l and peered round the room. Myles wasn't here, no one was here. I frowned and got up out of the bed, then shivered suddenly.

I looked at my arms, they only had the thin material of my top on them and realised I didn't have my hoodie on. Grrr it's pretty cold this evening. I searched for my hoodie, found it and put it on.

Then suddenlly I heard a noise from the front and whipped my head quickly towards it. I leapt onto my knees and hid behind what little cover I had from the bed.

" Jay? You there?! ", A voice whisper shouted from behind the door. My ears perked up but I stayed silent and waited for whoever spoke to speak again.

" Jay? Notch darn it if you're sleeping! ", Whoever this person was, was certainly a girl from the way their voice squeaked in frustration. I laughed out loud thinking whether I sounded like that when I got angry.

" Is that you Jay? ", I quickly clamped a hand over my mouth realising I just laughed at my silly thought.

Ughh I may as well just reply, pretty sure 'I was just laughing in my sleep' is not a good excuse to pretend I didn't hear anyone.

" Okay, Hi! ", I called, cringing at how happy and enthusiastic I sounded. The girl did not respond, probably scared at my sudden enthusiasm to speak, so I got up and walked over to the door and pulled it open.

Before me, stood a girl with long blonde hair, and bright blue eyes. She wore a red hoodie and black skinny jeans and wore multicoloured bangles on her wrists. In all honesty she was very pretty.

" Uh hi there..? ", I said slowly, the girl in front of me smiled with a wave. She seems alright though I'm worried if she's teaming with Herobrine.

" Jay? Is it? Hi I'm Appleeyes but you can call me Apple! ", The girl happily spoke. I smiled and nodded, gesturing for her to come in.

Once we'd both settled down on a bed each we began talking," So how did you find this place and know my name? ", I asked her. She looked up as if thinking before answering my question.

" I walked into this wolf boy - Kieran was it? ", I nodded, and she continued," Well he gave me the coords to this place and said to expect to see Jayanti, you, here ".

" Oh okee, well hello there ", I smiled happily at her," and welcome to the best built tree house in all of Minecraft! "

I laughed and so did she. Our laughing was cut off suddenly when the door to the tree house was opened, but I relaxed when Myles walked in, " Hey, Myles "

Myles looked up and smiled before noticing Apple behind me and furrowed his eyes, " Who's this Jay? ", his voice was deeper than usual. Quite scary if I say so myself.

" This is Apple, don't worry she's no threat to us ", I smiled. The sound of metal scraping made me realise that Myles had drawn his sword upon seeing Apple and only now withdrawing it.

I looked at Apple, she was tense. Don't blame her when its almost dark and someone in a black suit walks in with their sword drawn at you. I coughed realising an awkward silence had filled the room.

" So uh, where did you go Myles? ", I asked trying to get rid of the silence. Myles walked over to me and slumped on to the bed I was sitting on, " You alright? ", I asked.

" Yeah just tired, I've got half a stack of pork and some carrots ", He yawned, getting up again and placing the food on top of the furnaces.

" Ah thanks, if you want you can get some rest, me and Apple can prepare food for us and if Kie and Dave get back before night we'll cook for them too ", I said just as Myles climbed into one of the beds furthest from us.

I sighed when I got no response and decided to leave him be. Turning back to Apple I smiled," You want to help me make food? ".

She grinned and nodded.
