Halo, A Minecraft Adventure!

Chapter 9

I went upstairs to check up on Myles, he was lying on the bed facing the ceiling when I opened the door,"Hey you okee?"

"Hm?" he sat up," Oh yeah, you?" He replied. I nodded and tapped a little tune on the door frame,"Want to go for a walk?" Myles asked swinging his legs over the bed so they were hanging off the edge.

"Eh", my mind flashed to Herobrine,"Um", My mind flashed to Kieran. He's out there somewhere,"Sure okee, bring a weapon in case we run into Herobrine or Matthew"

"Mkay, I'll be down soon" He said. I left his room and went back downstairs. I grabbed my bow, and a stack and a half of arrows and of course my iron sword. Holding the hilt of it gave me that powerful feeling again..... I can do anything..... even kill....

"No!" I shouted dropping the sword to the floor, shaking my head furiously,"Don't think that!"

"Jay?!" Myles concerned voice shouted from upstairs. My breathing got heavy and quick, my body beginning to shake.

"Myles...Help...Please" I managed to call back between the gasps for air. No reply followed but instead a few 'thuds' as Myles came speeding down the stairs to my side.

I was clinging onto the wall, trying to keep myself up from fainting again. I could feel Myles' arms grab round my stomach just as I lost feeling in my arms and he gently lay me on the floor.

After a few more seconds, my breaths were beginning to slow and return to normal. I was still shaking but I could think more clearly and breathe.

"You okay now?" Myles asked gazing down at me. I looked up and nodded, he smiled and got up off the floor, holding a hand out for me.

I grabbed it and pulled myself up,"Heh thanks, ...... sorry about that" I said. Myles shook his head and smiled.

"No need to apologise , I'm sure it wasn't your fault" He replied,"So uh still up for the walk?"

I gazed down at the iron sword laying across the floor, I guess I could just take my bow instead of the sword.

I nodded and quickly kicked the iron sword into the wall so it wouldn't get in our way. Also so I wouldn't have to pick it up. Myles picked the sword up just as it banged into the wall with a loud 'clang'.

"Careful there" Myles laughed and propped the sword up against the wall. I gave a little laugh, but quickly walked out the door into the wilderness.

"So want to go find Kie? He walked out the house and I think there's something up with him" I said peering round the trees as if he would suddenly pop up out of no where....he didn't by the way.

"Sure" Myles replied heading off toward the birch tree forest, "Forest?"

I nodded and sprang into a small jog to catch up to him. Wait did we bring food?

"Hey did you bring any food?" I asked Myles. He stopped walking and pulled out a few apples,"Eh that'll do"

"Mkay"

We continued walking round the edge of the birch tree forest biome, luckily this was just a small biome. Probably about five hundred blocks wide or so.

"Apple?" Myles asked me after about an hour and a half of walking. I nodded and grabbed the red apple he held and took quite a big bite into it. I'm hungry shhh.

"Nom?" Myles joked, I laughed and nodded taking another bite. He got an apple out for himself and began eating it.

After another ten minutes of walking we came across a river that cut through the birch forest, splitting it in two,"We'd better stay on this side of river so we don't get lost"

"Mhm" Myles replied and walked down to the edge of the river, dropping to the floor and resting his hands behind his head gazing at the other side of the river.

"So we're staying here for a bit then" I laughed and sat cross legged next to him. I think its just past mid day so the sun is high in the sky meaning its gonna be pretty warm soon.

With that thought in mind, I took my hoodie off and folded it on the ground behind me and then leant my head on to it.

I closed my eyes, letting my wolf ears flicker at the sounds of birds and the quiet rush of the river.

Darn this place is so peaceful.

I opened my eyes to see Myles peering at me,"Myles?" I asked puzzled. He laughed and pointed at my ears.

"Your ears kept flicking in my face" Myles laughed. I joined in and purposely made my ears flicker back and forth in his face. He swiped his hands at my ears in a quest to stop them moving.

"Okee okee I stahp now!" I giggled covering my ears. He laughed and we both settled back down and enjoyed the peace once again.

[Hexilier joined the game!]

"oh great" Myles sighed, I sat up and looked at him with a questioning look,"He's my brother"

"Ah okee, well let's go say hi" I smiled getting up, picking up my hoodie also and putting it on. Myles frowned as he got up,"Don't you like your brother?" I asked.

"Nah I love him to bits as a brother but I ran away from our home server, I guess he's been worried ever since and now he's gonna want to know why I left" Myles replied with another sigh. I nodded without another word and we headed back in the general direction of home.

We stopped for another apple each after about an hour of walking, the last half hour we spent walking was us talking about Myles' home server.

It was called Valiant, and was filled with many amazing people from what Myles was saying. I should visit there sometime.

The house was in sight now, and there stood two people next to the front door. As we got closer, Kieran waved and I'm guessing Hexilier, turned his head to me and Myles.

"Myles?" He gaped. I turned to Myles and he nodded at Hexilier,"Why did you leave without a goodbye?"

"I'm sorry" Myles said in a quiet voice. This must be awkward with me and Kieran listening to their conversation so I nodded at Kieran then at the door.

Me and Kie walked into the house and into the living room and sat down on the sofa,"Hey why did you walk out earlier?" I asked Kieran.

He shrugged a reply,"I don't know"

"Okee, so were you here when Hexilier joined?" I asked again, Kie nodded just as Myles and his brother walked into the room.

Myles' brother smiled, his brown wavy hair flicking to the side as he looked toward me and Kie.

"So uh, Hi I'm Hex"
