"Nessa!!" Flynn screams in my ear, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Ow!!!!" I say covering my ears.
"When you and Jules are performing with Luke tonight, avoid those big, beautiful eyes. We don't want you heart broken." She says.
"You're extra pushy today.." I say annoyed.
Julie and her laugh as we walk to class.

The night rolled around and I was in my room getting ready for the party. I was NOT ready to sing, but I couldn't let Julie and the band down. I had to do this. I wore a polka dot and brown nude colored dress with some boots. I curled my hair slightly before grabbing my phone and heading over to Julie's.
"Oh honey!" I look over to see my mom walking towards me.
"Hey mom! What's up?" I ask turning around.
"You heading over to Julie's?" She asks.
"Yeah, Mr. Molina is going to record a video and post it on YouTube, in hopes of getting that manger to reach out to us again." I say as she puts her hands on my arms.
"Well..I am very proud of you- and Julie of course. You look beautiful." She says smiling, slight tears forming.
"No mommy!! No crying!" I say laughing.
"I'm sorry honey..it's just you're frowning up so fast." She says sniffing while laughing.
I pull her into a warm hug hoping to stop her tears.
"Ok ok I got to go. Don't want to be late." I say pulling from her grip.
"Ok honey good luck." She says.
"Thanks. I love you." I say.
"I love you too sweetie." She says as I reach for the door.

I stand with Julie behind the door as I hear start to hear Flynn introduce us. I breathe a shaky breath.
"Hey. You got this. You look amazing." Julie reassures.
"Thanks. You do too." I say smiling.
"Here's the anthem from Julie and The Phantoms." I hear Flynn end. Carlos and another boy then pulls the doors open.
The door opens and I'm met with a crowd of people cheering. Julie and I walk out, Julie walking to the front and me sitting at the piano.
"Thanks for coming everyone." Julie says giving me my cue to play.
