Chapter 2: Decisions.

Recap: As I'm eating my dinner I get a call from Pattie Mallette, someone I haven't heard from since Justin and I broke up..

Emma's POV:
I look at my phone as it rings, debating on whether or not I should answer it. I decide I should, in case it's important.
E: Hello?
P: Hi, is this Emma Gardner?
E: yes it is.
P: okay, this is Pattie, Justin's mom. How've you been?
E: I've been okay, very busy. Haha
P: that's good, I've called to ask a favor of you.
E: Uhm, what would that be?
P: well if you've seen the news lately, you'd know that Justin hasn't been doing well since his break up with Selena a couple of months ago. He goes out partying at all hours of the night, and he disrespects everyone now. He's out of control, and you were the girlfriend that always kept him grounded. I really need your help, if you can fly out to Canada and Stay with him until he gets his act together, I'll buy your plane ticket. I'm making him stay in Canada until he gets his act together. Please.
E: He hates me, I left him without telling him why. I doubt he wants to see me again Pattie. And it's not just me anymore, I have a daughter now.
P: Please Emma, I'll pay for her plane ticket too. I really need your help. I'm begging you.
E: let me think about it, I'll call you back in the morning to let you know my decision. I have to think about both my daughter and myself.
P: okay, I'll be waiting. Please make the right decision Emma. I miss you also.
E: alright I'll get ahold if you, bye Pattie. I miss you to.
We hang up and I text Emily right away.
Emma: Emily, come to my place. It's an emergency!
I then go and take Lily out of her highchair and get her cleaned up. She even has sauce in her hair. While I'm cleaning her Emily comes running into the kitchen.
"I'm here, what happened? are you hurt, is Lily hurt?!" She asks while huffing to get her breath back.
"Were fine, well kind of. Justin's mom just called me. She's begging me to fly to Canada to straighten him out. She says he's out of control and that I'm the only person who was ever able to keep him grounded." I explain to Emily.
"Woah, that's unexpected. What about Lily, does she know about her?" Emily asks looking at me with her eyebrows raised.
I sigh, "yeah she knows I have a daughter, but she doesn't know her age or who the father is. She said she would pay for our plane tickets to Canada. I don't know what to do! What should I do?"
"I think you should go. I think that you can bring the old Justin back, and once he knows about Lily I think he would want to change to be a good father to her." Emily says while looking at me with a serious expression on her face.
"Well I wouldn't tell him that Lily is his daughter right away, that would just cause problems. He would either be mad at me for keeping her from him, think I'm lying, or not want anything to do with her. She's only 2, I can't bring her into that. I just wouldn't say anything about her father unless he asked and then I'd tell him." I reply.
"Okay, so are you going to go? I think it would be the right decision even though I'll miss you guys." Emily says with a sigh. I think for a minute and then look at her, I smile and say "yeah, were going to go. I'm going to try to make him better."
Emily gives me and Lily hugs and then heads back home. I grab my phone and call Pattie.
P: hello?
E: hey, it's Emma. I've made my decision.
P: okay, and what did you decide?
E: we are coming to Canada,
P: oh thank goodness, I was hoping you'd say yes! Okay I booked you 2 first class tickets to Canada for 6am tomorrow morning. I'll be waiting at the airport to pick you up.
E: okay thank you, see you tomorrow then. I have to go pack our bags. Bye
I hang up and grab Lily. I go into her room first and back her two suitcases full of clothes, and one suitcase full of toys. Then I pack a diaper bag, even though I'll have to go buy more diapers and stuff once I get there. Then we head to my room and I pack two suitcases of my own full of clothes, and one filled with my makeup and hair products and shower products, as well as my shoes. I then take Lily and put her in bed and read her a story until she falls asleep, and I go into my room and fall asleep. Justin is in for a big surprise tomorrow...
