Chapter 23 Wynter

Tears streamed down my face. I kept driving until I reached the now leaving Atlanta sign. I wasn't thinking or maybe I was, but I ended up in some weird place called Valdosta. Where in the hell was I?  I put the address I was given in my gps, and headed towards my destination. I ended up at Cat Creek road. I punched in the entrance code and watched the gates open up. As I drove through I saw all kinds of big beautiful houses and I was in awe as I pulled up to his house. It was a mansion! Well to me it seemed like one. It was big enough! I parked next to the Lexus and the Porsche. Goodness gracious, even the cars were beautiful. I walked up to the door and rang the door bell. I could hear it throughout the house. "yes?" The butler answered the door. " I'm looking for Mark? I said looking behind the butler into the house. "annnndddd what could you need?"  A woman came behind the butler and glared at me. "well if u must know, as if I was talking to you, he's my dad" I rolled my neck and sized her up. She was your regular Susie home maker. "what the fuck? Maaarrrrkkkk?!?!?!!" She walked back in to the house, I could hear her heels clicking as she stormed away. I chuckled until Mark came walking up to the door. He looked surprised to see me. Bet y'all wondering what I'm doing? Well what choice did I have? I decided to test the waters and see what this cat was really made of, I mean what else did I have to lose?   He invited me in and I stepped into this huge foyer. I'm talking extra huge. The butler offered me some sweet tea as I walked in to the sitting area and took a seat. Yes they call it a sitting area and not a living room.  Crazy right? I know! "so what made you decide to take me up on my offer? He took a sip of his tea and looked at me. "well you were saying that people can change and I decided to give you an actual chance to get it right and be in my and my unborn child's life." I looked at him to see what his reaction would be. "soo you have made me a grandfather huh? He came and sat beside me grabbing my hand. " well baby girl I'm going to be here every step of the way. I'm sorry that I was not there for you. I love you and I should have cared for you instead of choosing Cheryl over you"  he looked me in the eye and pulled me in for a hug. It was a warm hug and I needed it. Cheryl came walking into the room, " I hate to break up this little reunion but Mark tell your guest it's time to go. We have work to do. " I rolled my eyes, I can't stand this bitch already.  " she is no guest, she is my daughter and this is her home now" I smile, three points for dad. "I just know you did not cheat on me and get a bitch pregnant!!!!!!" Cheryl screamed. I put my head down and laughed. "who was she?" She asked. He looked at me then said, Autumn Thomas, the true love of my life.
