TW: Blood/Death

The small 11-year-old girl walked into the smoking home with worry in her eyes, it was enough smoke to knock a person out, even just from the outside, she knows it's dangerous to enter a smoked home, but there were no signs of fire...

Just broken windows and an unhinged front door.

She waved off the smoke that was engulfing her small body while coughing lightly, "Momma?! Daddy?!" she called out to her parents while she slowly placed down her school bag at the door.

In the distance of the smoke, she could see three figures, and then only two as one fled through the smoke straight past the little girl, leaving her in shock before she came back to her naive senses.

One figure was lying on the floor, the other on their knees, Y/n approached slowly and cautiously, before she recognised the figures.

"Momma?" she sped up her movement approaching the woman who was hunched over another figure, her father.

M/n held f/n's hand tightly to her chest, not seemingly hearing her daughter calling her name, "I'm so sorry f/n..." M/n spoke sadly, it was obvious to Y/n now, that her mother was crying above her father's body.

She held her hand out approaching her mother, "Momma?" The confused Y/n placed her hand on her mother's shoulder, making her jump in surprise, she looked up at her young daughter, tears in her dreaded m/e/c eyes.

She lowly growled at Y/n before putting her full attention back on her father, "Daddy? Momma, why is daddy on the floor? The floors cold..." Y/n spoke with her innocence until she noticed the pool of blood she had been standing in, the blood on her mother's hands.

More importantly, the blood all over her father's clothes that had also been ripped.

Her baby brothers erupted cries frustrated m/n even more than she already was, seemingly ready to snap within any upcoming second, little Y/n full of worry, latched herself to her mother as she cried still holding her father's hand.

Even to this day, M/n never told Y/n what happened, nor why it happened, even though now she was 16, all she knew was the smoke allowed her father's death, or at least what she figured, just how much it affected her mother was the real pain in the ass for Y/n.

She herself, had never told her mother about the third figure in the room that day after school, she didn't dare remind her Mother too much of that day.

It had now been 6 years since his untimely death that shook their families lives apart, with her father gone, and her mother becoming an alcoholic jobless woman, they barely got by, until she hit 13, where she went out and did chores for other people desperately until 15, where she got her first job, because of everything, she even had to drop out of school, Lucas, her brother, now being 6 years old, hadn't seen a school.

She was almost independently supporting her small family, aside from the amount of child care money her mother brought in every month, which was not much, but they still managed from the ages of 11-13.

M/n became such a bad influence, Y/n barely liked coming home as it was, believe it or not, she got along well with the neighbours before F/n's death, now they barely acknowledged each other.

Besides working her ass off, Y/n was also needing to do the cleaning, cooking and even take care of her brother, her mother was utterly broken, useless.

She barely took care of her own Son when Y/n was away for work. Y/n understood to an extent, m/n lost the love of her life, she was allowed to be miserable for a while, grieving takes time, but its been 6 years and she's barely left the house, she's not getting on with her life.
