That's what I am, to Nishinoya, my best friend.

Yes, I like him. I have a crush on the one and only, Nishinoya Yuu. It's helpless though. He has all these fan girls swooning around him almost every minute.

"Nishinoya-san! Do you have a girlfriend?"

"Nishinoya-senpai, are you and [L/N]-san dating?!"

"Noya-san! What type of girls are you into?"

Every time he was asked about our relationship, he'd totally friend-zone me.

"Gomen, me and [F/N]-chan aren't dating!"

"Eh? [F/N]-chan? We're just friends!"

"[F/N]-chan's my best friend!"

Sure I hope to be more than friends to Nishinoya, but it's hopeless. That guy is obviously crushing on his volleyball manager, Kiyoko Shimizu.

I mean, I don't blame her! Just take a look at her, she looks like a whole goddess!

Though I want more attention from Nishinoya, I can't ask for more. I'm already his best friend and at least it's better than being the side character.

"Yuu, what took you so long?" I asked Nishinoya impatiently as I had been waiting for him at the front gate ever since school ended.

Nishinoya gave me an apologetic look and scratched his neck nervously, "Gomen'nasai! Y'know the usual, the same old girls asking for my number.

I rolled my eyes, "Seriously, can't those girls find something better to do?" I complained.

"Ooh~, is my [F/N]-chan perhaps jealous?" he suggested with a smug look on his adorable-, ahem, face.

I scoffed. "Jealous? What is there to be jealous of?"

Nishinoya chuckles, "Nothing, nothing~! Let's go now, [F/N]-chan!" he exclaimed as he took his hand into mine.

During the walk home, I couldn't restrain myself from asking Nishinoya the question I've been dying to ask.

"Yuu, do you like anyone?"

He looked up, "Ehhh? [F/N]-chan, why would you ask that?!" he was clearly very, very flustered.

I smirked, "Oh, no reason. Just wondering." I claimed.

"Well, in that case.." Nishinoya started.

"I like you, [F/N]-chan."
