16. Shy

in this au!, u'll be suga's little sister in 2nd year, so u're Sugawara [F/N]. this story will be slightly long, pls bear with me :< enjoy!

"[F/N], are you ready?" I heard my older brother call out for me with his gentle, soft voice from the other side of the door.

I quickly combed my soft silver [h/l] hair, "Give me a moment, nii-san." I responded gently.

Like my brother, I was soft, gentle and kind. The only thing different from us that I was extremely shy. Heck, I couldn't even bring myself to talk to a teacher without Koushi reassuring me.

"Nii-san, I'm ready." I called out for Koushi, signaling that I was all ready for school.

Koushi gave me a gentle smile, "Let's go now, shall we?" I giggled lightly, "Let's go."

"[F/N], we're here." Koushi announced. "Are you sure you'll be okay alone, [F/N]?" he asked with a worried expression on his face.

I gulped and nodded slowly, "I..I think so." I nearly choked on my words, thinking about socializing with other people made me absolutely terrified.

Koushi let out a soft sigh, "Alright, I'll leave you be for today. You can find me at the gym after school." he stated as he patted my head softly, before turning away to walk towards his class.

Okayyy.., [F/N], you're alone without your dear brother. What do you do now? I thought as I began to sweat.

Right, go to class. Dumb [F/N]~

As I walked towards the classroom, I heard a loud sound from the opposite direction I was heading to.

As always, the sound broke my chain of thoughts and resulted me to bump into a boy.

Wait, a boy?!

"U-Uhh..gomen'nasai!!" I squeaked out as I covered my red face with my [s/c] hands.

My heart beat began to increase rapidly, I was a sweating mess. "I-I didn't mean to b-bump into you!" I got more flustered every second.

"Eh? Daijobu! Are you hurt?" the boy asked. His voice was rather pleasant to hear. I looked up to see a boy, just slightly taller than me with black hair and a blonde streak in the middle.

He was extremely cute, it made my heart pound even faster.

What is this feeling...?

I shook my head, "N-No.." I stuttered as I hung my head low, my silver hair completely covering my face.

"I'm Nishinoya Yuu, though you can me Senpai!" he proudly stated with a smug look.

Cute..

"Uhh, S-Senpai? What year a-are you?" I shyly asked.

"2nd year!" his cheery voice exclaimed.

Why's he so adorable, what the heck?

My eyes widen slightly, "S-Senpai, I'm also a 2nd y-year..." I muttered while rubbing the back of my neck nervously and awkwardly.

"Nani?! How come I've never seen you before?" he asked curiously.

It was overwhelming, really. I've never really had a conversation this long, especially with a person I'm not familiar with.

"I'm a s-shy person..I d-don't like socializing.." my voice became tinier every I spoke.

Nishinoya chuckled, "How questionable of me not having seen such a pretty girl like you!"

My cheeks went as red as a tomato. I wasn't entirely used to compliments unless it's from Koushi.

"T-Thank you..?" I brushed my hair off of my face and collected myself. "I-I have to get to class. Bye, N-Nishinoya-san." I mumbled before dashing out of the area.

Where is Koushi when you need him?

I took in shaky breaths as I began to tremble. "I just..had a..conversation,..with a boy?!" I tried to confirm that I totally wasn't dreaming and it was reality.

Gym, gym, gym..aha!

I found myself in front of the Karasuno Gym, shaking visibly and sweating.

I calmed myself down and slowly opened the door awkwardly.

"H-Hello?" I squeaked out.

Just as I said that, a volleyball came flying at me. Fortunately, the ball flew just past me and managed to not hit me.

Even though I was uninjured, I began to panic.

"Gomen!!" I heard a voice that possibly belonged to a boy.

My breaths became shaky and I was trembling more than ever. "[F/N], daijobudeska?" A voice that obviously belonged to Koushi asked.

"Y-Yeah.." I choked out.

Koushi came running at me and engulfed me in a big hug. "Calm down, [F/N]..you'll be alright, we'll be alright." he reassured me while rubbing my back gently in circles.

"Hey, you're the girl I bumped into this morning!"

That was it. The voice that made my heart flutter.

I looked up. "H-Hi, Nishinoya-san.." I uttered quietly. Koushi looked at me confused and surprised, "[F/N], you know him?" he asked with curiosity.

"M-Mhm, I accidentally b-bumped into him w-while getting to class.." I explained while stuttering.

Nishinoya gave a smile that made my heart almost explode out of chest. Seriously, what is wrong with me? His smile could lighten my day anytime.

"I never caught your name!" he exclaimed.

"Sugawara [F/N].." I muttered while fidgeting with my fingers awkwardly.

He looked surprised, "Woah!! You're Suga-san's sister?! You're so pretty!" I began to blush profusely.

"I'll call you [F/N]-chan, if that's okay with you!" he asked.

Ahh..stop being so cute..

I nodded shyly. "S-Sure.."

Little did I know that our relationship would be more than what I expected. For once I feel happy that I met someone like him in my life.
