CHAPTER 3: Always into trouble

I woke up, checked the time, "I'm really late for school" I shouted as I jumped out of my bed and ran straight to the bathroom, wore my school uniform and ran downstairs, saw my mom eating.

God help me, I'm going to die today just hope she doesn't notice that I'm late, I thought.

"Good morning mom" I greeted as I kissed her cheek.

"Morning love, have you had breakfast?" she asked.

"No but I'm not hungry,".

"Ok, the driver is waiting".

"Bye mom, love you " I shouted with a smile as I left the house.

When I left the house, I saw my driver Uncle Femi waiting inside the car.

"Good morning" I greeted as I got in the car.

"Don't Good morning me Jare, you know that your school is far but you still wake up late, don't you have alarm clock?" he asked as he started the car.

"Sorry" I shortly answered.

I got out of the car and saw my two besties walking toward me waving.

"Morning Uncle Femi" they both greeted my driver with a smile on their faces.

"Good morning, I've to go since small madam decided to wake up late" he said looking at me with an evil eye. I just looked away.

"Rachael why are you this late?" Rose asked.

"Why would she not be late, when she was chatting with David through out the night" Ruth replied immediately winking at me.

"Really? so it's now David" Rose said smiling.

"It's like the both of you are mad abi, my mom took my phone last night because of the mad man Mr. Ayo".

"Mr. Ayo, who is that?" Ruth asked with a confused face.

" Ruth are you ok? you don't know Mr. Ayo? he is our Physics teacher" Rose said laughing at her

"Oh, that man" Ruth said laughing. we all started laughing like fools.

"Why are you both outside, aren't you meant to be in class" I asked.

"Yes but the teacher is not yet in school" Rose said.

"Lets go to class" I said dragging both of them.

We entered the class, it was really noisy. we sat on our sits.

"Rachael" someone called out my name.

I turned my back and saw David walking towards us.

"Good morning Rose and Ruth, please can I sit here just wanna talk to that your friend over there?" he asked pointing to me.

"Sure, no problem take your time, we'll sit at the last row " Ruth said smiling as she quickly left and Rose followed her also smiling.

"Thanks so much" he said as he sat beside me.

"Hi David," I greeted blushing.

"Morning Rachael, what happened last night? I sent you a message but you didn't reply are you ignoring me?".

"No, my mom took my phone.".

"Why? what did you do now?" he asked smiling.

"Are you ok? what do you mean? so I cause trouble ?" I angrily asked.

"No, that's not what I meant" he said holding my hands.

I turned back saw Rose and Ruth smiling and winking at me.

"Fine, it's a long story, why didn't you come to school yesterday?" I asked as i forcefully removed my hand from his grip.

"Also a long story" he replied angrily.

"What now?" I asked crossing my arms.

"Nothing," he said also crossing his arm.

"David what do you want? why are you acting like a child?".

"Your hand".

"Why? what do you wanna do with it" I asked.

"Hold it" he held my hand smiling.

"Crazy boy" I muttered and our chemistry teacher walked into the class.
