CHAPTER 4: Relationship Granted

As our chemistry teacher entered the class, the class became quite immediately.

"Good morning class" he greeted.

"Good morning Mr. John" the whole class responded in unison.

" I'm not going to teach you guys today...' he said before he was interrupted. the whole students shout "THANK GOD, FINALLY".

"Are you guys stupid? you are rejoicing. I'm not going to teach only revision " he shouted.

"What's the difference?" someone shouted with a hiss which made Mr. John furious.

"Who said that?" Mr. john asked but no one answered.

"We are going to revise all the topic we have treated so far since Ss1 for the preparation of your upcoming Examination " he said walking around the class looking at everyone with a serious face.

"David, let go of my hand. Mr. john is almost here, we'll get into trouble" I asked trying to remove my hand but he didn't let go.

"I don't care" he said looking at me.

"But I do," I said but he still didn't let go.

"Rachael and David please stand up and tell the whole class what you both are talking about" Mr. john said behind us. we stood up still holding hands.

David want's to put me inside trouble, I thought.

"Why are you both holding each other hands?" he asked walking towards us.

"sor..." I was about to explain but David interrupted

"Sir, I'm just like holding her hand, it's not against the school rules right?" he said boldly

The whole class shouted "MADOOOOO!!!"

"Really? so you guys are dating at this young age. I see. LEAVE MY CLASS RIGHT NOW BEFORE I DO SOMETHING I'LL REGRET" Mr. john yelled pointing to the class exit door.

I was about to plead but that David just dragged me out of the class with him. I saw my two besties making the shape of an heart with their fingers. we left the class and sat on the staircase looking at each other. I'm so angry, I really need to listen because of my exams but now this devil...

"Will you say something, I'm so mad at you " I shouted angrily.

"What do you want me to say? I did nothing wrong" he replied looking at me with a smile.

"Fine, let go of my hand right now I'm serious" I yelled. But he still won't let go.

Gosh, what's wrong with this boy?

"I won't, are you hungry? let's go to the snack bar" he said as he stood up dragging me too.

"I'm so hungry, I haven't eaten anything since yesterday"

"Why, what do you wanna eat?" he asked concerned.

"I don't know yet but let's go to the snack bar first"

We left the school building and went to the snack bar

"Just buy me a Pepsi, I'm ok with that" I said looking away to avoid eye contact.

"Only that but you haven't eaten since yesterday"

"I'm ok with that" I said pretending to be angry

"Ok. Excuse me madam, I wanna buy two Pepsi with 3 hotdogs and 2 Meat pies" he order as he gave the seller the money.

"What are you doing?" I asked

"What? it's not for you" he replied as he collected the things from the lady and gave me my Pepsi.

"I don't even want it" I just rolled my eye.

"David! David!" a girl called out his name.

We turned and saw two girls running toward us smiling, I think they were Art students.

"Oh, Yes Kate" David answered with a smile.

"I'm so hungry David" she said holding his other hand sweetly.

What's with this girl? is he your father or your boyfriend? I thought angrily.

"Sorry girls but I don't have cash right now" David replied with a cute smile.

"ok, but who owns those snacks" Kate asked eyeing me.

" it's for my girlfriend" he replied.

"Really! you have a girlfriend? I'm so jealous. when are we gonna meet her" Kate said sadly.

"Yes I do, very soon. see you guys later" he said as we started walking to the school building.

Wait, David has a girlfriend? I'm not jealous. he can't have a girlfriend. I know him very well

"Rachael, are you ok?" he asked waving his hand to my face.

"y-yes, any problem. you have a girlfriend and you didn't tell me" I asked pretending to be ok.

"We are not that in a relationship yet, I haven't confess my feeling to her yet" he said sadly.

"Really, why? I'm sure she will say yes just give it a try" I said calmly.

"you think so?" he asked with a happy face and stopped walking so did i.

"Yes, you are the best" even though I've feelings for him and he doesn't feel same for me, I don't want to see him sad.

"I'm going to tell her right now," he said as he lets go of my hand.

"That's good, bye" I said as I was about to leave, he held my hand again.

"What? aren't you going to tell her?" I asked being confused.

"First I don't now how to say it. I like you Racheal very much, I wanted to tell you but when Rose said that you like someone, I tried stopping the feel but I don't know how to... I love you" he said smiling as he looked into my eyes.

"I love you too David" I said blushing. He hugged me tightly.
