Leilani's POV

Before we arrived to the pool, Boomer brought us to the locker rooms to have the newly summer staff put their bags away. Standing beside the door was this gothic chick leaning against the wall. She clearly did not care about work at this point.

"You can leave your bags in here," Boomer instructed.

Then he, went to to talk to the dark aura staff. However, I didn't pay much attention to them, due to the fact she's in like one episode or so. Only thing I heard was a broom stick hitting the floor. Boomer finally left our group, giving us time to talk to one another.

"Ooh, maybe we are getting a tour!" Emma gasped.

"They're gonna hate it here," I whispered to Johnny.

"It can't be that bad," He whispered back. "I put 5 bucks on it."

"Oh, you're on."

"Sick parties. Awesome surfing," Reef glances at me. "Hot chicks. I love this place!"

"Told you," Johnny smirked.

"Just wait."

———————————

"Okay, not loving it so much anymore."

We finally made it to the pool. However, instead of water being in the pool, they drained it all... for us to scrub the walls.
The jeep was still inside the pool too, don't know how they plan to get that one out.

"Told ya, Johnny boy." I grinned. "Pay up."

"Give it time."

Our banter got cut off by Broseph speaking up, "Dude, this bites... Lani comfort me."

I rolled my eyes jokingly as I walked over to pat his curly hair as he hugged me. I point my attention back to everyone else, jumping back into the conversation.

"Psh, that's resort life for ya."

" Yeah, remember we're the workers. They're the customers. It's fun for them, not so much for us." I add on to Johnny's comment.

Fin gets up from the pool floor, to enter our 3-way conversation. Let me add, not to pleased with how the conversation is going.

"What do you mean?"

"Usually, we will get the afternoon to surf. Then, some kid has a diaper malfunction in the pool. And, bam!"

"We're on scrubbing duty." I say finishing his line once again, still playing with Broseph's hair.

Fin narrows her eyes at me, playfully. "How do you keep doing that? You're a minder reader."

"Nah," I chuckle. "Just have plenty of work experience."

I look up out of the pool, hearing footsteps. The sun glares in my eyes, but I was able to make out the figure as Boomer.

"Okay, people. Listen up. Do I need to remind you what will happen if Mister Ridgemount returns and sees this? My career finished, which means all of you will be fired. Comprende vou?" Boomer lectures us.

We all nod our heads in return. I mean how do you respond to that last line, I don't even know what it means?

"Okay, kids. Here's a list of things I need done by this afternoon," Boomer rips of the piece of paper and throws it inside the pool. "And Lani, this isn't a petting zoo for your boyfriend."

I blushed slightly in shock, not noticing Broseph looked the same. I took my hand out of Broseph's hair, giggling sheepishly.

"Yes sir," I played it off by saluting Boomer as he walked away repeating the phrase 'Tick Tock'.
