Bloody begonia's

The walk to the guardian's place was silent, Gabriel could sense the tension in the air, The two teens walked ahead of him with anger welling up inside their chests. Gabriel's mind was focused on Mayura, on how sick she looked, on how upset she was, why did she run? why won't she come back? even when she knows how sad Adrien would be if she never came back. So many emotions swirled in Gabriel's head, making him dizzy, he felt Angry, sad, scared...Guilty. 

Marinette stopped at a door and looked at Adrien, "Ready?", Marinette asked, Adrien nodded, she raised her hand and knocked four times on the door.

The door slowly opened revealing a short old man, Master Fu, his eyes widened at the sight of Marinette and Adrien together with the kwami's, then he noticed Gabriel, "Why is he here?", Master Fu asked pointing at Gabriel, Marinette sighed, "He's Hawkmoth", Master Fu grabbed the teen's hands and pulled them inside slamming the door, leaving Gabriel alone outside.

"Master it's fine, he's with us...for the time being", Marinette reassured, Master Fu scrunched his nose, "We need him to get the peacock miraculous", Adrien said, Master Fu turned to the door and opened it.

The look he was giving Gabriel was one that showed he won't take any kind of bullshit, Gabriel walked inside, "Please take seat", Fu said pointing in front of the place he usually sat, everyone sat down and got comfy, "Now what is the reason you all are here?", Master Fu asked, Adrien was the first to speak up, "Mayura has run off somewhere, we have no idea how to get her back", Fu let out a tiny hum. Master looked at Gabriel, "do you have any additional information?", Fu asked, "Well, Mayura...she has something called hanahaki disease and it's been getting worse", he gripped his knees and looked down, "And now that she's missing I can't take care of her", Gabriel's voice cracked, his tears threatened to fall. Fu brushed his beard with his hand, "Hanahaki disease?", Adrien asked, Fu began to explain what it was, Adrien's face went pale once Fu brought up the possible death outcome, "so she's dying because that one person won't return her feelings?", Adrien asked, he took Gabriel's silence as a yes, Adrien's tears began to fall, Marinette brought him close to her chest and stroked his hair, "It's going to be alright Adrien, I promise we will get her back, we will figure out the rest", Marinette said. 

Suddenly a big crash came from outside, screams followed, Everyone ran to the window to see a big monster, it was in the shape of a floating ball of water, it shot out streams of water hitting buildings and streets. 

"Tikki spots on!", Marinette yelled, "Plagg Claws out!", Adrien yelled, the two exited onto the balcony, Ladybug turned her head, "You stay here, we'll take care of the monster", Ladybug said, "But what if Mayura shows up?", Gabriel asked, "By what I have seen, she does not want to see you", Ladybug said, Gabriel looked down, "fine", he watched as the two heroes jumped away to fight off the senti-monster. 

As the heroes fought, Chat Noir noticed something in the alley way, a figure, "cover me", Chat Noir said running towards the alley way, "Chat Noir!", Ladybug screamed.

He ran in to see Mayura laying on the ground letting out nasty coughs, "Mayura", Chat Noir said, she looked up with her tired eyes, he ran towards her and placed his hand on her shoulder, begonias were spread out covered in blood, he couldn't imagine how much pain she was in, "Don't worry were going to help you", Chat Noir said, Mayura held up her hand, "n-no...l-leave me", she clutched her chest where her miraculous sat. 

"CHAT NOIR! I NEED YOU!", Ladybug screamed struggling to handle the monster, Chat noir looked at Ladybug then at Mayura, "Please, stay there", Chat Noir said running away to attend to his partner.

After they defeated the senti-monster that fortunately had the object inside of it, Chat Noir turned his head to the alley way and frowned when he saw Mayura was gone, "What were you doing over there?", Ladybug asked slightly annoyed, "Mayura..", He looked down, "I had her", Ladybug placed a hand on his shoulder, "Don't worry my kitty, we'll get her back, we just need to have a plan next time", Chat Noir nodded and started making his way back to the guardians home.

Gabriel heard the door open behind him, he turned to face it, desperately looking for a blue face, He slumped back onto the floor, Adrien sat down next to Gabriel, "I failed, I had her but I let her get away", Adrien said hugging his knees, "you didn't fail", Gabriel said reaching to touch Adrien, he flinched away, Gabriel put his hand back down, his son was still mad at him, which he completely understands. 

Marinette sat on the other side of Adrien, "We just need a plan next time", Marinette said, "what if there is no next time?", Adrien asked, Gabriel's stomach lurched, that question broke his heart, "There will be next time!", Gabriel yelled standing up, everyone looked at him with surprise, "Sorry I shouldn't have yelled, I just can't bare the thought of there being no next time as in she-", Gabriel fell down onto his knees, "She means too much to me", he continued, "She means a lot to me too, that's why we have to find her as fast as possible", Adrien said. "I can't imagine what she's going through right now", Marinette said, Gabriel couldn't either but he knew it couldn't be good, but there was a thought in the back of his mind that resurfaced and added to the horrible pain in his heart, a thought that gave him a headache, a thought that made him feel the same emotions he felt the day Emilie fell into a coma, the thought was, "If we ever got her back, there is still nothing we can do, we can't make that person magically fall in love with her, we can't make her feelings change with a snap of a finger, she's dying and there is nothing we can do."

That night when Gabriel got home he laid in his bed, he wished this was all a bad dream, he hoped that when he woke up, Nathalie would be downstairs doing her morning assignments, taking care of calls, regulating the dietary plan, but he knew deep down inside, that he wasn't going to wake up to that, as he was drifting into sleep, he mumbled one thing.

"Please Nathalie....Please be okay."
