As we ate together, Seraphina gave me a question. "Why did you give me some of the cake, knowing you could easily overpower me?" She asked me. "I'm not a jerk, and how everyone acts, it seems like cake is a rare specialty." I say. "Once a month." She said, laying her head down on the table. "Everybody expects me to be perfect, an idol, and I just can't take it anymore." She says. "Well, you seem like you need a therapist." "Haha." Seraphina said sarcastically. "If I go to a therapist, I'll probably get disowned. My sister got disowned because she didn't immediately go to the top position in her lab." Seraphina said, bringing a sad smile to her face.
"Cheer up." I said. "You're my best friend." I said. "I'm probably your first friend." She said. "You betcha'. I said, as we both burst out into laughter. "Wanna stop by a drink place I found later?" I asked her. "Sure." "Also, Seraphina is way too long. Can I call you Sera, or do you prefer Seraphina?" I asked. "Doesn't matter. Front lawn, at the end of school?" Sera asked me. "Sure." I said, as the bell rang and I head to my next class.
"Everybody, there's a fight in the courtyard!" Someone shouted, as I sense two abilities. Energy Beam, and Hunter. Wait, I copied Hunter earlier. Isen, I think his name was. I copy the Energy Beam, and with that combined with Phase Shift, I was there in a matter of seconds. "Hey dickwad!" The redhead yelled. "Too powerful? Next time don't insult me!" He yelled. Isen was a 2.9, while Red was 3.5. Barely an Elite-Tier. I could take them on easily. "Stop!" I shout with someone in unison, a pink-haired girl also coming out from the crowd. "Why should we? He insulted me!" Redhead shouted. "Alright, um..." "Blyke." "Alright, Blyke, did he apologize?" I asked him. Isen nodded, while Blyke said, "Yes." "Why are you fighting then?" I asked. "I....i.." He trailed off, a confused look on his face. Then, he shot a beam at me that I quickly dodged.
His eyes widened as I vanished and re-appeared behind him with Phase Shift, a beam charging from my finger, shooting it into his knees. He fell, eyes widened as I healed him. "H-how d-d-did you do t-that?" He asked. "I copy abilities." I said, walking away.
After a long period of classes, it was the end of the day. With my new friends Sera, Elaine, Remi, Blyke, and Isen, we went to the mall, where we found Woaba Boba. Sera got the mango, Remi and Isen got the peach, Blyke got the chocolate, Elaine had strawberry, while I had a lavender boba. We talked, laughed about our abilities, as we decided to get our abilities checked. I came in top, followed by Sera, Remi, Blyke, and Elaine and Isen tied for last place. We then started walking back to the dorms.
While on our way back, I sensed an ability, as I ripped open my bear and looked. After layers of stuffing, we found a tracker in my bear. "Huh, I swear I didn't find that." Remi said, astonished. She could sense things electric. "What do you remember?" I ask. "Um, well, we went to the Boba place, I had to use the restroom, and I felt a sharp pain in my neck, and then we got our abilities checked. I'm still confused on why he almost said zero." She said. "Wait." I said, sensing for abilities. "John, there's a puncture wound on her neck." Sera told me. I sensed once more. Remi didn't have an ability.
