Chapter 2

Max's POV-:

I just got over with my shift at Taco Bell ( AN- this story takes place in the modern times ) and I was on the way back home when El called me. Even after I moved away to California, me and El had a strong friendship. We call almost everyday! Anywho, she called me to invite me to her wedding. Don't get me wrong, I am happy for her, but I really don't like that son of a bitch Mike. He acts like El is all his and not anybody else's. I assured her that I will be there for her on her special day.  So I was driving back home in my Ford Anglia (HP reference anyone?) and vibing to What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction. Hey don't judge me, I am a BIG Directioner.

I reached home at 11 pm, and to my surprise Lucas, my boyfriend who I have broken up with 10 times, had set up a fancy dinner for us. He "cooked" Filet Mignon for me and Foie Gras for himself. Damn I didn't know my boyfriend had that in him. I asked him what's the special surprise, and he told ,"WE ARE MOVING BACK TO HAWKINS BABY!" and let me tell you I FREAKED out. Like Literally. I asked if we are moving by ourselves, and he said "Mike and El are also moving back there, speaking of them, did you get the invitation?" I said yeah of course. After eating our dinner, i quickly took a bath and did my skincare routine and went to bed.

Lucas's POV-:
I got a call from Mike at 5pm. We haven't talked in years, so i was wondering why the sudden call? Turns out that he was getting married to El! My man finally got the guts to propose! So after marriage they are going to move to Hawkins permanently and he asked me if me and Max wanted to move back too. I said yes, of course but i told him not to tell Max. I am pretty sure he was not going to anyways. I wanted to surprise her. So i called Bistrot Paul Bert (i just used a random restaurant name) and ordered Filet Mignon and Foie Gras. Max was supposed to be home by 11 pm i guess and it was 10 so i had to start getting ready. I hid all the evidence that tells us that i bought the food and i didn't cook it because i wanted Max to think that i not only good looking, but also talented. So i prepped up the dining table and changed into the tuxedo i bought last month for no absolute reason. I heard the door knob rattling so i hid behind the door and yelled SURPRISE when Max opened the door. Yeah she was awe struck. She asked me what's the surprise and i shouted, maybe a bit too loud, about us moving to Hawkins. She freaked out, LITERALLY and asked me if anyone else is moving with me and i told her that Mike and El were also moving here. So after that we talked a little more while eating and then both of us went to bed.
