Dean looked at the pitiful plate, "Are you serious?" Dean wasn't sure if this was a joke that plate couldn't fill a bird. But then again at least he's eating. Cas frowned.

"Uh, yeah." he said, eating an almond.

"Okay, at least you're eating," he said smiling, "Cas? If you don't mind me asking... Why did you start doing this?" Dean asked as Cas ate. Cas swallowed, breaking a saltine into pieces anxiously. He didn't want to eat any more. Putting a piece in his mouth, he sucked on it until it was mush, then swallowed again.

"Um.. I don't know, man."

"Did people pick on you? If they did I'll fuck them up," he said scooching closer to Cas. Cas shook his head, putting his plate down.

"No. Just me. If you want to beat me up, go ahead." he mumbled. Dean quickly looked at his friend in horror,

"Cas why would you eve suggest something like that?!" Dean wrapped his arms around Cas' slender figure in a gentle hug. Cas closed his eyes.

"Because I'm the only one picking on me." he mumbled, curling into Dean's side, not caring that he could probably feel his ribs. What did it matter anyway.

"Mm'tired." Cas mumbled, his eyelids growing heavy. "Cas we you feeling okay?" Dean said shaking him gently. Dean was quite concerned as he saw his friend who was just seconds ago wide awake drifting into a heavy sleep.

Cas frowned at being woken up. "Yes, I'm fine. Just let me nap." he really was tired. "Okay," Dean said relieved. He carefully positioned himself so both of them could sleep comfortably on the couch.

Dean grabbed a blanket and threw it over both of them. Cas was now laying on top of Dean and Dean had his arms around his waist.  After they were settled He kissed the top of Cas' head and whispered, "Goodnight sleep well." Cas nodded, letting his worries slip away as he fell into sleep. His problems could wait. Dean nuzzled his head into Cas' soft hair ad drifted into a peaceful sleep. This just felt right. Cas awoke the next morning, stiff from laying on Dean all night, but not unhappy.

Opening his eyes slowly, he smiled at the sun filtering through the blinds. Laying there quietly, he enjoyed the silence. Dean stirred slightly in his sleep but then relaxing his chest just rising and falling arms still around Cas' slender body. All of a sudden, Cas was all too aware of how bony his figure probably was, and he felt a wave of guilt wash over him. Sitting up, he took his unfinished plate to the kitchen and threw the remnants of his supper away.

Dean's eyes fluttered open and he grunted in disconnect from the loss of contact. "Cas," he whined softly still sleepy. Cas smiled softly. "Shh. Just sleep." he said quietly. "I'm here." Dean rubbed his eyes sitting up and yawning.  He stretched his stiff muscles scooching so he wasn't taking up the whole couch.

Dean pulled his legs up onto the couch grabbing the remote.   "So what's the plan for today Cas?" He asked still sleepy. Dean couldn't find anything of interest and got up walking over to the kitchen where Cas was. "Do you wanna do something?" He asked leaning on the counter. Cas put some more water on to boil, shrugging dejectedly. "No..  not really." he said quietly. "Okay, whatever you want," Dean said smiling, "How'd you sleep?" He asked.

"Alright." Cas said simply, putting a teabag into his mug. "Did you um - want breakfast or anything?" he asked timidly, afraid of the answer. He didn't have much food here. Just apples, plain rice cakes, almonds, saltines, and green tea. "Or um - we could go somewhere to eat?" "Well, you haven't eaten in so long... I don't want you to eat too much all at once. If you want we could go out," Dean answered remembering the events of last night. He walked over to where Cas was standing watching as he prepared his tea.

The dark haired teen sipped at his tea, shrugging. As if he'd eat too much. He didn't plan on eating more than a few bites. Swallowing, he nodded. "Okay... where do you like to go? The roadhouse?" Dean walked closer to Cas and looked down at him. "Cas I know you don't eat to go. You can't hide that from me," Dean said quietly.

"We could just stay here. I could run by set store and pick up cereal or bread. You have a toaster right?" Cas nodded. "Yeah.. I have a toaster. I just want fruit though." he said quietly, afraid that Dean was onto him.
