Amity looked around, eyeing the crowd of people before her. Each one bearing a standard uniform for any soldier of the Boiling Isles.
Every army shirt had a badge in the shape of the portal eye on the left shoulder, the irises we're all colored according to what coven each witch was apart of. Blue for illusion, yellow for potions, purple for abomination, and so on. The only exception to this, were the members of the Emporers coven, whos uniforms as a whole were white.
"General Amity, your fleet has the clear to proceed. Our scouts say no humans are sighted along the border." Amity heard Lilith through her scroll.
"Alright." Amity turned back from her scroll. " Everyone! It's time to get going. Please proceed as planned, I don't want to see a single spell fired until I give the signal." Amity shouted sternly to the crowd.
She then paused and turned looking at the glowing portal that was previously behind her, before walking in, leading everyone else through it.
The general plan was to go to the human realm and infiltrate one of the nearby camps. This was an attempt to gain more territory for the witches and to gather some intel.
Amity remembered that durring the last war meeting, it had been agreed that in order to not alert the humans of their presence, she would send out a signal before the squad was allowed to cast spells in the human realm.
As they entered the other world through portal, they were all met with the faint smell of oil, and the sound of the early morning birds chirping in what was left of the trees, almost like a warning to not proceed any further.
Amity took a deep breath. She was a bit unnerved actually being in the other realm again, given that a generals usual job is all behind the scenes. But she continued dispite her better judgement to turn back. It was her job after all.
Soon enough they all made it to the target camp, being met face to face with an armada of humans waiting outside the walls.
Amity started to panic a little. This wasn't what Lilith had told her. Did the scouts report false information? Where even are the scouts?
Her thoughts were cut short by what looked to be a human general speaking.
She couldn't hear him well, but it didn't take long for her to know what he said. The opposing side to start shooting at the unwelcomed guests.
"Fire!!" Amity yelled, giving her squad the signal they needed.
Soon enough, all that Amity could see was the light of spell circles, and she constantly heard sound of gunshots. Each one trembling the ground bellow her.
As she survayed the area, she watched as more and more of their troops were being depleted.Amity started to draw a spell circle.
"Abomination, Rise!" She shouted, only a moment after the circle was completed. Soon a purple mound of mud rose from the ground, and started twords the enemy camp, doing it's best to defend the witches from the gaining human horde. This wasn't going according to plan.
As the abomination held off the opposing humans bullets to an extent, Amity called for a retreat.
"Fall back!" Amity shouted at the top of her lungs, gaining the attention of whoever was left, each one casting a quick shield spell, if they had any magic left. They started to run back to the portal.
Amity noticed a few stragglers as the others made their ways out.
"I said, fall ba-" Amity yelled again, this time being cut off by a sharp pain in her left side.
Amity fell to the ground as her party retreated. She felt like she had just had a flaming spike vine spell go through their side. Blood was spilling onto the ground as her ears rang. She looked down to see a bullet imbedded into her side. As quickly as possible she tried to take it from her pale skin.
Dispite her better interests though, it wasn't long before she started to get dizzy. Stars appearing in her eyes, as she blacked out. She felt her head hit the ground hard as she quickly lost consciousness.

Welp, I hope you enjoyed this! I haven't written much a good year, so it was kinda nice to be able to make this. I'll probably edit it later as I find spelling mistakes and things to be worded better.Speaking of, if you notice any spelling mistakes or have any ways this could be written better, let me know! I'm always open for feedback! I don't write stories like this often, so any help with even what things are called is appreciated!
Other than that, I hope everyone has a wonderful day/night!
