Genesis 7:5

Noah did according to all that the Lord had commanded him.

I have never had the faith that never questioned the plans of God unlike what Noah was described in this chapter. When we are given a task that is impossible to grasp, we often think of it as a crazy plan and we shove it off at the farthest back of our minds. We think it's not possible, therefore, we just move on to other things that we can calculate as a possibility.

Noah's faith as he continuously seek the Lord was as crazy as building a giant ark. The instructions that the Lord had given him were detailed and he ought to follow everything that He told him. Normally, we would doubt and question or suggest our ways with the Lord. Bargain here and there. But Noah was just a vessel of complete surrender. Whatever the Lord says, he did. He didn't just finished some of them, but he powered through all of them.

When the Lord gives us a task that is difficult for a human mind, this is a way of telling us that we needed to depend and surrender to His plans. His plans are always good and perfect. The Lord sees the bigger picture while we only see what's in front of our face. Noah was just remarkable because in every step of the way, he held on to his faith and trusted that the One who began the work will help him to complete it. Hence, the ark was built; in Noah's faithful obedience, his household was also spared.

Obedience always bring blessing.

REFLECTION: Is God calling you to a seemingly impossible task? What one thing can you do today to take one step of unhesitating obedience toward accomplishing that task?

There are times that I am not quite certain if what I am thinking about or encountering is something that Lord wanted to partake or something that might see impossible as a task. But there were moments when I thought that I am never equipped in doing the will of the Lord and that they'll be someone else better to do it. But in those moments, I tried to surrender and let God do the works, His strength and power was the one who made that impossible thing a possibility.

In moments when I don't feel like I can accomplish a task that the Lord has given to me, I'd always remember what Noah did in the ark. He was earnestly seeking the Lord that His voice was loud and clear. Noah also trusted the heart of God in all the instructions that were given him. I want to seek the Lord diligently in the same way. Because I know that if I draw close to Him, He will draw closer to me. I will be able to hear him loud and clear. And I will be able to trust and hold tightly to His promises that we will and we have overcome.
