"Dan Allah ki fada min gaskiya mana" a guy in his early 20's spoke which made Arfah turn to the other side of the bed she's laying on and kept a mischievous grin on her face as she held her favourite pillow in the room.

"Wallahi I'm serious I'm in kano" she cleared her throat to make her sound more serious "See, you don't need to get mad at me and anyway I just came on Wednesday"

The guy on the other side gasped and his next sentence contained a touch of disappointment and hurt "Haba Arafy you've been in Kano for the past four days and you're just informing me gaskiya I'm hurt" she could imagine his index finger plunging onto his chest and a silly face masking his face.

"Okay fine I'm sorry! Okay?" she laughed wholeheartedly and rolled her eyes. "Okay fine I've got to go but I'll call you later to disturb your life again"

"Suh don't!" she warned but he cut the call immediately. Suhayl and Arfah had been very good friends for the past two and a half years. She always addresses him with 'Joker' whenever she remembers how he just popped up in her DM and just wanted them to be friends. Who does that?!

Boredom was surely going to be the end of her in this house but she wasn't going to let that happen. Thank God she was having evening lectures and it's freaking 4:21pm and she hasn't gotten ready! She rushed, bumped, changed into a purple sweat pant and matching hoodie and completed the outfit with a full length purple hijab and grey sneakers.

"So class we are going to see how the human mind works... "

She squinted her eyes and entered the hall praying that professor James doesn't notice but hey, who was she joking with?

"Miss where are you coming from? " he asked as he raises an eyebrow and adjusted his spectacles.

"S-sorry sir my bad. I'll be careful next time" she answered whilst looking at her feet. Oh God! I hate those eyes on me.

"Hmm" he nodded as he resumed with his lecture.

Arfah slowly strode to the empty seat she found at the back. Oh how she misses high school. They were the back benchers with her sit mate of course Taq. They were the savage students in class but still the best. The boys who thought could beat them were so jealous and envied them but they never cared. Their rules were 1. Study hard and 2. Earn money.

She then realised how badly she wanted to speak to her. It's been long since they spoke.

"I'm dividing you into eight groups for this project and each group will have a different topic. So it is up to you guys to either work hard or not. I don't tolerate any shit from any student here, understand?" professor James emphasised with his forefinger.

"Yes professor" they all chorused.

"So the groups you belong to will be pasted tomorrow by 2:30am prompt. Be sure to check"

"Yes professor" they all chorused again.

"This class is dismissed"

"Oh God Arfah what type of project do you think professor James will give us? " Khadijah asked looking concerned.

"Oh kufah ku kuka damu da wani project you guys should not worry about this project, it's not going to be that difficult and if it is then I'm sure Khalid will help us out" the duo looked at Airah with disbelief.

"Okay I'm just saying" she raised her hands to save herself from the daggers they were shooting her way.

"Everything will be okay insha Allah. Let's just wait for tomorrow and see" Arfah assured them.
