I had been at Hogwarts for a few weeks now. The Golden Trio avoided me at all costs, not that I was complaining. I walked down the hallway, a smirk displayed on my lips. "George, Fred!" I called out.
The two red-haired boys turned to me, a smirk developed on their lips. "Look who it is," Fred spoke.
"I heard you guys were the ones to go to to get into some trouble?" I asked.
"Well, yeah," George laughed.
I stepped closer to them, linking my arms with each one. "I need your help," I said, walking them down the hallway. "I need a little revenge on Crabbe and Goyle."
The boys laughed, "Finally, harassing the Slytherin. They're a bunch of-"
I raised my eyebrow at George, making him stop talking. "Anyway, they embarrassed me in front of the rest of the Slytherin's, I can't have that, so," I said, "I need revenge."
The two boys agreed to help me, promising to meet me at the astrology tower during lunch. I made my way to my potions class, sitting down next to Pansy. "Good morning, class," Snape spoke, making his way to the front of the room.
The class mumbled a good morning back to him as they sat, waiting for the day to be over.
"Today, we will be working on the potion Amortentia," Snape said. "Can anyone tell me what it is?"
Hermione was quick to raise her hand, and Snape awaited her response. "It allows you to smell what you're attracted to."
I rolled my eyes and played with my robe. "Correct, Miss Granger," Snape spoke.
"Now, go to page 349 in your book, and you will come upon the recipe for the potion. I want you all to make your own, and then we will go around the room and smell it."
I quickly flipped to the page and grabbed the ingredients off the shelf.
"This is so dumb," Draco whispered to me.
I stifled a laugh, "Who even decided to come up with such a pathetic potion?"
Draco and I had begun to get close. He never tried to make any more moves on me since the night in the washroom. Pansy continued to try and get him to notice her, but it never worked.
I worked diligently on the potion, "Done."
Everyone in the class looked at me. Snape took a few steps towards me. "Smell it," he said.
I put the potion up to my nose, sniffing it. The smell of apples, peppermint toothpaste, and expensive cologne hit my nose. I quickly glanced at Draco, who watched me intently. "I don't smell anything," I said flatly.
Snape's brows furrowed, "Pansy, you try it."
She put the potion I made up to her nose, "I smell firecrackers, jelly beans, and -"
I furrowed my brows at her, confused as to whom she might be talking about. Had she developed a new crush?
The class took turns smelling their Amortentia potions.
"Hermione, go ahead," Snape spoke.
"Um," she started, "freshly mowed grass, new parchment, and spearmint."
Her face turned red as Ron got a smirk on his face, a few students chuckled. It was obvious they had something going on.
A couple more students went on to confess their attractions until it got to Draco.
"Perfume," he said, whilst looking at me, "fall leaves, and fire."
I stared at him for a moment more before turning and walking out of the classroom. I loosened the tie around my neck, making my way to the Slytherin entrance.
