Dance Dates

A few weeks later, Neville and I were walking to our afternoon classes. Neville and I had become close friends. We've told each other our pasts and all our dreams for the future. I guess you could say he was like my best friend. I even told him about Draco and Ron. He's a really good listener and gives good advice too.

Draco and I had met a few more times at midnight in the courtyard. It was nothing special. It was stressful enough making sure no one noticed. One time we had a picnic and sometimes we just talked.

We arrived to class and took our seats. Just then, Professor McGongall walked.

"Before I begin, I have an announcement to make," she announced.

The class groaned. Her announcements were never good.

"Next Thursday evening, Hogwarts will be having a ball," she explains. "I hope you will all be attending and put your best foot forward."

With that, she begun class. I could feel Draco staring at me. I turned to look at him He was messing around by making things float around him. He flew a piece of paper over to me and I read it. It said:

Want to go to the ball with me?

I flipped the piece of paper over and wrote:

I can't. I'm sorry.

I flew it back over and I watched him open it. He looked heartbroken when he read it. I looked away and a tear rolled down my face.
'It's for the best' I kept telling myself.
'You had no choice' I reminded myself.

After class, I went to the courtyard for free period. I got out my books and began to study for my potions test. After awhile, Ron came and sat down next to me.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Ron asked.

"Studying," I answered.

"So, you know there's a ball coming up?" he blurted.

"Uh, yeah," I said.

"Well, if you aren't already...I mean maybe we could...maybe if-," he started.

"I'd love to go with you," I interrupt.

"Oh...yeah...cool...um, well, see us then," he said as he away, but trips over a bench.

I laughed. Ron just blushes and quickly walks away. I was happy to be going with Ron, but I feel like it all wrong. I should be going with Draco. I can't turn back now, though. I have no choice.

Hello, people of earth!
You know I'm really tired of being a muggle😫 Who else is waiting for there letter from Hogwarts? Like I really really want to go to school there and be friends with the golden trio and go on magical adventures together! Is that to much to ask for? Until next time...Be happy!
