Monsters

I wake up a week later in the hospital wing. I'm no longer in the clothes Voldemort gave me. I don't feel any different than before.

"Oh good, your awake," Professor Dumbledore said.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Just as you cast your spell, Voldemort did a different spell and it created an explosion. Just as I arrived, he escaped, but I wouldn't worry. You have all his power now," he explained.

"So, that wasn't all a dream? I'm really the chosen one?" I asked.

"Yes, I've known since you were born actually. I didn't tell you, because with great power comes great responsibility," he explained.

"Where's Harry, Hermione, Ron, and Draco? Are they okay?" I asked.

"They're all fine. They were let out a few days ago," he explained.

"What about this new power?" I asked.

"It has some dark secrets, but I trust you'll use it well," he explained.

Just then, the nurse came in and told me I could go. I went to my room and changed into some pajamas. I did my homework all day in my room. Later that night, there was feast. I got up and put on my robes. I made my way to the dining hall. I was late, because everyone was already seated. When I walked in all the conversations stopped. They all clapped. Draco, Harry, Hermione, and Ron ran at me. They all hugged me and talked at once. We sat down and Dumbledore talked. There was one more full day until holiday break. They announced that tomorrow that there was going to be a ball to replace the one that was ruined by the lizard thing. After diner, we went to bed. I was excited for tomorrow.

Hermione and I arrived at the ball. We walked over to the boys who were standing by the punch. They all looked so handsome. This time, I was here with Draco. Hermione and Ron got closer while I was asleep, and they decided to go together. Harry went with a girl named Melanie. We all went to go to the dance. It was a fast song. I laughed at how horrible Draco was at dancing.

"I see you haven't been to very many balls before," I joked.

"No, not really. Where did you learn to dance?" He asked,

"I don't know," I replied.

"So, do you want to ditch this place?"he asked.

"Such a bad boy," I joked. "Sure."

He grabbed my hand and we ran out of the room. We go outside and to where were last time. A slow song started and he grabbed my waist. I put my arms behind his neck. We sway to the beat. I rest my head on his chest. After awhile, I look him in the eyes. He gives me a short kiss on the lips, but breaks away.

"Thank you, sunshine," he whispered."Thank you for keeping the monsters away. I love you."

Then, he kissed me again. This time longer and more passionate. I broke away only for a second to say:

"I love you, too," I whispered.

That's the story of how three friends and one enemy changed my life forever. And together we realized to stop looking under our beds for monsters, because the real ones are inside us. The real ones we can fight and win with a little help from our friends. We defeated the monsters and boy did we win!
