Annabeth's P.O.V

Alia was headed off to fifth grade, and Sophie to fourth.

Lena Taylor and Rion Luke Jackson were starting pre-k.

Hazel and Frank's kids, (who did not get Hazel's curse, by the way)

Sam Arion Zhang was almost nine, even though the doctors thought she wouldn't live past four or five, and Bianca Emily Zhang was two.

Nothing had happened to the camp, or anywhere else in years. It was as if the monsters had gone quiet.

I knew they must be planning something.

Piper was bringing her kids over in a few hours. Hunter and Jackie were ten already, Kat was seven, and Little Leo, as everyone called him, was three.

 Rion tugged on my hand.

"Mommy!! Lia said that there is a spider in her room and she won't go in it until it is gone." I almost screamed, but I knew that would frighten the kids. I yelled for Percy.

"Percy come quick!" and he rushed out.

"What?" He asked. I explained about the spider, and he marched right off. A little bit later, he came out and said it was dead. I breathed again.

"Rion, go get Lena, Sophie, and Alia," I told my youngest and only boy.  He nodded and headed off. I sighed. Alia was going off to camp next summer. She would only be doing summers, because of the lack of monster sightings.

If, and when, the monsters started attacking, she would have to move in full time, being a daughter of Poseidon and all. I really was worried. What if we let our guard down, and then the monsters attacked?

What happened to all the monsters in Tartarus, the ones being re-born every day? We could only wait and see what happens.
