Chapter 4: A Date/ A Spy

Carol's POV:
When Daniel told me that his father is alive, I was shocked to say the least. "Daniel, you saw his body." I said, "I know, but this handwriting is only a day old." Daniel said as he examined the letter and found the fingerprints of his father and it matched perfectly. "My father has been alive all this time. Why didn't he come to save me?" Daniel asked, "Maybe he has a reason for doing so." I said, "Maybe. Hey Carol, this may sound weird but, do you want to get something to eat?" Daniel asked, "Are you asking me out on a date?" I asked smiling, Daniel's face turned red and he rubbed the back of his neck. I giggled, "Yeah, I am." Daniel said, I smiled at him, "Yeah, I just need to change into something more comfortable." I said as I told Daniel that I meet him outside my apartment on seventh street. I left the lab and ran into Doc Connors, "Sorry Doc." I said, "No need to apologize. Where are you off too?" he asked, "Um, I'm going to my apartment to get ready for my date with Daniel." I said. He smiled and nodded his head, "Well, don't let me keep you." Doc said as I thanked him and left the lab. I flew to my apartment and landed on my balcony. I went into my closet and got a change of clothes and went to take a shower.

[Back at the lab]
Daniel's POV:
I had a program running to try and pinpoint my father's whereabouts while I was getting ready for my first date. Doc knocked on my door, "Come in." I said as I just got my pants on and was getting ready to get my shirt on, "Hey Daniel." Doc said, "Hey Doc." I said as I got my shirt on and I saw Doc looking at the program, "Daniel, why are you running a program to find someone who's dead?" he asked, "Because, my father's alive Doc. I got a letter from him the day before the meteorite was stolen, I just didn't open it yet because I was preoccupied with other things." I said, "If that's true, then he has his reasons for not making contact with you." Doc said. I sighed and looked at the photo that was in the envelope with the letter, "Maybe. But I won't know until I find him. The program should run for a few hours. Until then, can you keep this from Yang. I don't want her to know yet." I said, "Of course. Now you better hurry up before you're late for your date." Doc said and I laughed at his unintentional joke. I nodded and left the room with my jacket and helmet along with an extra helmet that I placed in the storage area of my bike. Before I left, Yang ran over to me and was smiling ear to ear, "A little birdie told me that you have a date with Carol." Yang said with a smirk. "Yeah, and don't even think of following us." I said, 'Daniel, we sense another Klyntar in the city.' Anti-Venom said, "Hold that thought Yang. Where?" I asked, 'Two hundred miles east of us. But the Klyntar is familiar to us. We can not remember why.' Anti-Venom said, "Alright, let me know when you remember." I said, "Remember what?" Yang asked me, "I was talking to Anti." I said. I hugged her and got on my bike and rode to Carol's apartment, 'Anti, what makes this Klyntar so familiar to you?' I asked, 'We cannot remember. The Klyntar is a powerful one indeed. Their host has a strong will as well. It feels familiar.' Anti said. I continued to ride to Carol's place as I felt as if someone was following me, 'Black van with the S.H.I.E.L.D. symbol with three agents inside. One of them is Coulson.' Anti said, I narrowed my eyes and revved my bike and sped off with those S.H.I.E.L.D. goons following me, 'We have an idea.' Anti said as he morphed my bike and made it faster. I smirked and revved the engine and continued on my way to Carol's.
