Chapter 5: Finding Lasher

Daniel's POV:
I was in my cabin looking over the files and everything that S.H.I.E.L.D. had on my family. Carol was sleeping and Agent May was flying the plane to the next location of HYDRA hideouts that hasn't been hit yet by Lasher. 'You should get some rest Daniel.' Anti-Venom said, "I can't really sleep. These files are hard to believe, but the more I read them, the more it makes sense of all the things that happened to me when I was younger," I said. I pulled out my wallet and took out a picture of me and Yang along with a picture of me and my actual parents. "My parents kept this a secret for a reason, I have to find out why." I said, 'I will help you. But you need rest.' Anti-Venom said to me, I smiled and agreed. "Fine, but I have a feeling that this Lasher is also familiar to me. I can't put my finger on it though." I said as I put the file down and turned off the light, then I got in bed with Carol and she turned and snuggled up against me. I then closed my eyes and entered a dreamless sleep.

[Time Skip]
Coulson's POV:
I went into the brig and saw Ward still out cold from the events of yesterday, "Rise and shine Ward." I said as he woke up, "*Groans* You better not let that kid back in here." He said, "Well that depends on how cooperative you are. Tell me who's in charge of HYDRA right now." I said, "That kid has my memories, why not ask him?" ward asked, "He needs the rest. Learning about his family tired him out." I said. I handed him a glass of water and he took a drink, "At least your keeping me alive." Ward said, "Again, as long as you give us information we can use, you'll live to see a trial." I said.

Jemma's POV:
Everyone besides Daniel were awake and Carol seemed worried about him, "Is something wrong?" I asked, "Daniel was awake for a while last night. He was still reading the file on his family." Carol said, "I see, he must have his reasons." I said, "The thing is, I think that Lasher might be bonded to someone he knows. I heard him say that he feels like he knows who Lasher is." Carol said, "Really, well, that could help us find the guy bonded with Lasher." Daisy said as she handed Carol a cup of coffee. We continued talking until we all heard something coming from both Carol and Daniel's room, "What's going on?" I asked as Carol went to check on Daniel.

[With Daniel in his dream]
Daniel's Nightmare:
I was holding Carol in my arms as her blood was all over my hands, "Please, don't leave me. Carol please." I cried, "*Coughs* D... Daniel, I... love... you... *eyes close and heart stops*" Carol said as she died in my arms, "No. No, no, no. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" I shouted.

[Reality]
Carol's POV:
"*mumbles* No, no." Daniel kept saying no as he was shaking, "Daniel, wake up." I said, he then shouted out as his eyes shot open, "NOOOOOOOOOOO!" Daniel screamed as he was panting in a cold sweat as I could see fear in his eyes. "Daniel, it's alright." I said as he saw me and pulled me into a hug, he then started to cry. "I... I thought... I thought I lost you." He said, "You were having a nightmare. I'm still here." I said as I held him close to help calm him down.
