"I'll just walk" I went up to her and kissed her on the cheek "thanks anyways mama" I smiled and walked out the door with an extra jacket draped over my arm. I made it to Jacob's house in about 8 minutes considering how far he lived. My feet hurt as I stood on his father's ramp, I cracked my neck and knocked on the door softly. The door opened and I looked down slightly to smile at the older man in the wheelchair "hey Mr. Black" he smiled back widely "hello Ms.Crowley" I shifted on my feet and he wheeled back so I could come in. I closed the door behind me and waited for Jacob "Jacob, Aurelia is here" I could hear what sounded like a crash as well as a "coming" from above me.

Jacob came down and smiled at me before pulling me into a tight hug "I've missed you princess" I rolled my eyes and hugged him back "it's only been a week black" "yeah, but still. It's like work and track have you preoccupied, and we never hang" I pulled away once he did and nodded "yeah I guess, where are we going?" He smiled widely "La push" I blew a piece of hair out of my face before biting my lip and looking away "I know that look,  I promise I'll make sure embry doesn't try and throw you in this time" I scoffed at him and smiled softly "fine fine, let's go before it gets cold"

He laughed knowing it was always cold and we left for La push. The boys ran up to me and embry grabbed me, lifting me off the ground and squeezing the life out of me. I smacked his arm "let me go tweedle dee" he chuckled and set me down "where have you been princess?" I scowled and made a face "minding my own business, like you should" he grinned and shoved my arm slightly "still so cocky" Leah being the only girl there besides me stood beside me "hi Aurelia " I turned to her and smiled widely "hey Clearwater" she clicked her tongue "you swimming with us?" I shook my head "I don't do wet" "you don't do anything" she sighed and Jacob stood up for me "come on leah, you know she can't do much" he kept his voice low as to not offend me and I just rolled my eyes when I heard him try to whisper.

"Look I'm here and that's all that matters, I don't have to participate and I sure as hell didn't have to come" Jacob could tell I was starting to get angry so he pulled me away from the group as they grumbled about my small outburst. "What was that?" He rested his hand on my shoulder and I shoved it off "why did you invite me when you knew they would react that way, especially leah?" "Because we haven't hung out in a while and I've missed you" he looked down at me, his long hair slipping on to his cheek "Jacob, a lot has been going on and you know that" he nodded "I know, and with Bella back I thought that we c-" I cut him off "I don't, I don't think our old friend group is the same black, Bella left and she came back different. Besides we all changed"

He sighed and looked away "and I know about your little crush on her" he looked up at me surprised "how did you-" I cut him off again with a chuckle "I have my ways black" he shoved me "come on let's go back" I spent the rest of the day chilling with the group, but keeping my distance. The beach was nice and my thoughts were jumbled. On the way home I fumbled with the hem of my crop top Jacob grabbing my hand to get me to stop "what's up with you? Didn't you take your medicine?" Jacob knew about my anxiety disorder, he never questioned it and he always made sure I was calm in an environment I didn't like being in. I smiled "yes, I did in fact especially after school. Weird thing though, I was calm for the first half of my day which you know, never fucking happens"

He looked away from the road for a second and focused on me "isn't that a good thing?" I sighed and pushed his head back over to watch the road "it would be a good thing if I had known why I was so calm" I shrugged "but I'm not stressing over it". That was a lie, I had been stressing over it since it happened, but why would I tell him? That would only cause more problems and I just wanted to get home and sleep. True to my sentence he pulled into my driveway behind my brother's van. I turned around in my seat and bit my lip "I'm sorry about today, but I had fun" I noticed the look on his face and chuckled "watching you all have fun" he smiled "nah, I liked your presence. It was nice" I blushed at the compliment and smacked his thigh, "well I'll talk to you later black" I got out of the car "I'll talk to you too princess" I cringed and slammed his car door before walking to my house.

He called out to me from the window, a stupid grin on his face "love you Aurelia!" He drove off knowing I wouldn't say it back. I walked into the house with a sigh, I spotted my brother and his idiot friends on the couch "hey boys, isn't it a school night?" They mumbled at my question before I noticed them stop and look at me, they stood up to greet me "Hey beautiful" I cringed at Mike's nickname for me and Tyler punched him in the arm before making his way over to me and kissing my forehead "hey sis, I didn't know you were leaving earlier. I would have stayed and gave you a ride" I pushed him back slightly and nodded "rigggght, but notice how I didn't call to ask where you were because I didn't care" I shrugged and he rolled his eyes

Eric and Mike stood there like idiots and I waved them off "go home boys" I walked up the steps and heard them shuffle to get their things, Tyler mumbling "you're really gonna listen to her?" I chuckled and went to my room closing and locking my door. I decided to skip dinner and write a few new songs in my lyric book. Words flowed onto paper and once I was finished I laid my head on my pillow and shoved my lyric book deep under my mattress. There was a soft knock on my door before it opened. "Hey baby" my mama poked her head through the door before coming in and sitting on my bed. She patted my leg and smiled "I haven't really done this in awhile have I?" She was right.

Before my father went to serve the country she would come in my room and talk to me about my day. I was a bit surprised to see her tonight "yeah, but I understand" I sat up to make more room for her and she smiled, sitting down at the foot of my bed. "You've been the most understanding and you have enough on your plate" I played with my fingers on my lap "mama, how does dad make you feel?" Her eyebrows raised in a curious state and she shifted slightly "he makes me feel calm, he warms me up inside." I listened to her talk about their relationship and for an odd second I thought about that pale ass Jasper Cullen, I shook away those thoughts as fast as they came and focused on her talk about dad's feelings for her.

Once she left my room I grabbed my computer and started on my essay for Mr. Berty's English class. It wasn't due until next week, but I wanted to make sure I had it done before Angela. We had made a bet that if either of us finished the essay first and got an A, the loser would buy the other something really expensive and I sure as hell wasn't going to lose. My phone dinged and I reached over to grab while thinking of a hook for the essay. I opened my phone to a message from the hospital 'Aurelia, we are pleased to inform you that our hospital has accepted your internship, and you will start next Monday at four pm' I was close to squealing when I read the message but kept it to myself. It was going to be a long week.
