This is emotional as hell.
Prepare yourself.

'I- I don't know what to say...' I uttered.

He sniffed.
Already, tears were appearing in his golden eye.

'Fu-Fukase.. I'm sorry for dragging you into this...' he sobbed harder.
I felt sorry for him at that moment.... And I was too happy and shocked to even tell him that I feel the same way.

A silence passed between us.

We weren't saying a word, but one could tell the tension in the air from far away.
Oliver had his head buried in his hands, clearly flustered.

And I was busy watching the sky.

A snowflake has descended from the clouds, twirling in the air, so light it caught any gust of wind.
It flew nearer and landed right on Oliver's hair, but of course it was too light and small for him to notice.

More snow was appearing.. it was falling beautifully.

I'm sure if Piko would've seen this he would've been enchanted. He loved snow.

But now wasn't the time to think about Piko.

'Oliver..  look up.' I half-whispered. I don't know why, but it felt like I shouldn't disturb him.

Obediently, he looked up at the sky, and his eyes changed from squinting away the crystal tears to wide and shiny, full of curiosity.

Snow was falling heavier now, spotting our hair with icy flakes.

Oliver turned his head to look back at me. I smiled slightly.
'The first snow of the year.' I said softly.
He smiled back.
'Oliver, you didn't think I would turn you down, did you?' I asked warily.

His smiled slowly faded and he didn't meet my gaze.
'A-Admittedly...' he started, tears appearing again.
And then a look of realization came across his face.

'Does.. does this mean..' he looked at me again, and I smiled again

He froze still for a moment, then lunged forward and hugged me tightly, laughing into my shoulder.

I quickly put my arms around him as well and hugged him back.

'I'm so happy!!' he exclaimed, his voice muffled by my coat.

I ruffled Oliver's hair, smiling.

It was either a miracle or just plain luck that he had felt the same way about me...
But the most I could do now was make him happy.
