Chapter 2: Study, Train and Learn

—AU: ALRIGHT! Before we get started, readers should know a few things! I DO NOT OWN POKEMON AND I DO NOT OWN ANY PICTURES SHOWN. (Unless stated otherwise//ex: my charizard drawing in a later chapter.)
I just edit the ones like above to fit what I want my characters to look like. They are mostly saved from Google- IF SOMEONE OWNS THE PICTURE AND WANTS THE PICTURE REMOVED THEN JUST SAY SO—

Now, the characters Leaf, Blue, Yellow, and Gary's sometimes nickname of Green, and later—Silver, and Red who will be talked about— they aren't the characters from the games, just my OCs that I named after the game characters to pay tribute to them! (minus Gary, who just has OC tendencies.)

This was gonna be a Gary/Oc(Ash) fic, but we'll see.

The character does have a couple dates with other people, and yes there are a few lemons between her and them, it's part of growing up. I will not go into detail, its only light fluff!

Also, I tried to make it realistic, but I didn't want to suck the fun out of it.
I did quite a bit of research for certain things, like diseases a Pokemon species could potentially have and about animals the Pokemon was based off of, to make it work. I might be wrong on a few things, but at least it's fun to write!
There will be no more Disclaimers or Author's notes at the beginning or end of chapters! I like a nice clean story, so the note will be separate if I really need one. Or just a small blurb, that shouldn't detract from the story.
There will sometimes be trainer info on characters, like her friends, so as the story progresses you can see when they add to their teams! (Ash won't know until they or someone else informs her in some way. She's not omnipresent.

This is important so remember—

Bold speaking= a pokemon Legendary speaking. Also, Author notes, and Pokedex talking.

"Regular" = normal speach that is heard by everyone.

"(Tada!)"= this is how Ash translates Poke-speech in her head! It is not 100 percent accurate, but she usually is spot on! The closer her bond with a Pokemon, the better she understands them.

Italics= Ash's thoughts

"Italics" = muttering or mumbled bits of sentences that someone somewhere overhears.

Later that same day as I was waving goodbye to Kirlia -we had played tag in the garden and then hide and seek-what? I'm technically a kid, I can have fun if I want~ anyway, a new Pokémon showed up to take me to see mom and Professor Oak at the lab.

Fiona was apparently my mom's Gardevoir, (mother to Kirlia, who was actually my Cousin's) and the Pokémon was a worker for Professor Oak with mom, helping out by being a teleporter for guests and other trainers that needed to visit the lab or corral in an emergency, or for when an injured Pokémon or person at the lab needed to be transported to the Pokémon Center or human Hospital.

She also, like Mr. Grumpy, could speak telepathically, but chose not to scan people's thoughts beyond surface reading.
Respecting our privacy, she only answers questions asked out loud that way, and she  only breaks that trust when it comes to emergencies or Pokémon battles. Most Psychic Pokémon thought that way, unless they just didn't really care, like Mr. Grumpy.
