chapter 16

Kai looked up at you in a blink of an eye. He completely froze in his spot like a deer in head lights.

"D-did I hurt you?" He asked as he slid his hand out from under your  shirt.

"N-no...I just want to know where t-this is going?" Your voice was quiet. It almost sounded weak.

Kai sighed in relief and a smile formed on his lips.

"As far as you want it to go" he said lovingly as he bent his head down and gently kissed your cheek.

You gazed up at Kai "K-Kai..?"

"Yes, my dear?" He replied. His smile never leaving his face.

You averted your gaze away from him. You opened your mouth to speak many times but no words seemed to come out. You didn't know if you were embarrassed or scared to say what you wanted.

"Hey, is everything okay?" Kai asked as he placed a hand on your cheek. He turned your head towards him.

When his gaze met yours you could see the worry in his face. You knew he wouldn't hurt you if you said something, but that feeling never went away. Your thoughts always game back to that night. You were still scared that he might unexpectedly try and eat you.

"Umm.." You managed to let out. This made Kai frown and groan slightly.

"What's wrong..?"He asked softly. He slowly sat up from on top of you and gave you space to move.

You jumped up and hugged him. You wrapped your arms around him tightly, as if you would never let go.

Kai was taken back from the sudden contact, but he gladly pulled you in. He held both his strong arms around your back as his head layed on your shoulder. Your face burried in to his neck.

You began to tremble in frustration. You clenched your fists and scrunched   up your face.

"It's okay.." Kai whispered into your ear gently. He delicately caressed your back with little patterns drawn with his claws. He also laced your shoulder with sweet little kisses to comfort you.

These actions made you snap, and tears began to flood down your s/c face.

Kai's pupils become smaller as he pulled you away from him. He searched your form and gripped your shoulders protectively.

"What's wrong?" He asked almost frantically. 

"I-I am conf-fused. I don't know w-what to think.." You began to spill everything out to him.

He sat there and listened to you talk about how you felt. He listened to you talk about how you were still scared he might try and eat you and how at the same time, you wanted his affection. He soaked it all in and at the end, he wasn't mad or irritated. He was very comforting about it.

"It's okay, we will learn the answers to everything along the way. This is a new chapter in our story and we still have pages to go. Don't dwell,everything will be fine" he spoke almost elegantly.

You nodded as he ebraced you once again. You clung to him like a baby to a mother. He was so warm and nice.

You felt him pick you up in his arms as he made his way home. You snuggled up to him the whole time, embracing his warmth.

"Kai?" You asked.

He looked down at you and hummed in curiosity.

"W-will we ever do t-that again..?"  You asked as your cheeks lit up.

Kai chuckled, he could guess what you  were talking about just by looking at you.

"Well.." He cooed as he bent his head down to you. His blue orbs looked right in to yours.

"Only if you want" he said as he placed a kiss on your lips.

You blushed a dark red as you covered your face with your hands. You trembled slightly and silently screamed.

Kai laughed at you and shook his head.

"Your cute" he said as he gently put you back on the ground.

Your feet made contact with the ground and that's when you realised you left your shoes over at the river.

You groaned at your forgetfulness and then walked over to his bed to flop on to it.

Kai chuckled and made his way next to you. He looked over to you and smiled. He then crawled on top of you and looked down at you.

He smirked and winked at you." You look good from this angle"

You almost choked on air at his little compliment. Your face turned bright red as you looked at him in shock. 

He smiled showing his teeth and flickered his tongue at you. He was in a playful mood.

You then smirked and raised a brow at him.

"What?don't you want to continue where we left off..?" He said in a more seductive way.

You were slightly taken back by his passion, but you weren't going to say no.

As you were about to lock lips, your stomach grumbled, stopping both of you in your tracks. The both of you  looked down at your stomach.

You awkwardly laughed and averted your gaze away from him.

He chuckled. "Maybe we should eat first. I will go out and find some rabbit or fruits. What ever is most convenient"

He gave you quick kiss on the cheek before leaving to hunt for some food.

Once he was gone you sighed and flopped back down on the bed. You stretched out your arms and legs until you heared a satisfying pop. 

Your gaze fell on the drawer where you had found that book a while ago. You rolled onto your stomach and stretched an arm out to the drawer. Your fingers trailed along it's edges.

Your fingers bumped into something soft while you were tracing the edges of the drawer.

Your head perked up as you grabbed the unknown object with your fingers. You slowly pulled out what looked to be some kind of feather. It was a rather small brown and white feather. The tip was brown and then it faded into white with little spots at the base. Attached to the base was a leather string with beads attached to it.

You took it into your palms and examined it.

"Why would Kai have this?" You asked out loud to no one in particular. As you studied it, you began to notice the brown was a stain of something. You then began to realise it was stained with blood.

You looked at it intensely, not noticing the figure in the entrance.

You soon saw a familiar hand grab the tip of the feather. You looked up to see Kai in front of you.

His expression looked hurt. it looked as if he was holding back his emotion while starting at the feather.

"Sorry i-" you were cut off by Kai sniffling.

You looked up at his face to see a tear slide down his perfect conplextion.

You gasped as your eyes widened. You saw some fruit roll on the ground after a light thud.

Kai lowered his head as he clutched the feather close to his chest.

"M-mu-m.." He painfully choaked out as he erupted into tears.

You sat there, watching him cry. You wanted to hug him but you couldn't being your self to. Your were frozen.

"Kai.."

OMG I WAS LISTENING TO ENDING 6 OF FAIRYTAIL ABOUT GREY AND IT FIT SO WELL WITH KAI AND NOW I AM CRYING!
