Rainbow Dash couldn't be more pleased. She was with Fluttershy after all. Even the smell of cat food and wet dog didn't seem to bother her at the moment. In Rainbow's lap, was a very relaxed Angel Bunny. Suddenly, the soft voice of her girlfriend spoke:
"Good boy, Angel." she praised, "I don't know how you do it, Rainbow Dash. He loves when you groom him!"
Rainbow looked down at the white-coated rabbit and laughed, "I dunno, Shy. Guess the awesome rubs off on him."
"Oh, it might be so. Not to mention, he just gets oh so excited to see you after practice every day, don't you sweetie?" Fluttershy said in her usual babying tone, which Rainbow secretly loved.
The mention of practice reminded Rainbow that she was still wearing her soccer uniform. Out of anxiousness to see the shy girl after an intense practice, Rainbow had skipped changing out of her uniform, and ran straight to the animal shelter. As she brushed the 'pure' rabbit, her blue and gold uniform grew more and more infected with white fur with every stroke.
"Why is he...losing so much fur?" Rainbow asked confusedly.
"Oh! Well, that's because it's fall, and for bunnies, that means it's shedding season. Angel has been shedding his old coat, so he can grow his new, warmer one for winter, so he won't freeze his little cotton tail off." Fluttershy finished her explanation in the same babying voice as before.
"Ohhh." Rainbow exclaimed, "That explains a lot."
"Come on sweetheart, it's time for your monthly nail clipping." Fluttershy said in her cute babying voice.
Rainbow looked up and gave the shy girl a slight smirk, "Are ya talkin' to me or the rabbit?"
Fluttershy blushed for a moment at the question. This made Rainbow struggle to contain her laughter. What? She couldn't help it. It was pretty adorable.
"Your nails are way too short, Dashie. I simply couldn't." Fluttershy said sarcastically.
Rainbow always loves it when Fluttershy uses sarcasm against her, even when it's not for such a pleasant reason.
"Hmmm, why not?" Rainbow smirked.
Fluttershy began to crawl closer to Rainbow, the expression on her face gave her butterflies...everywhere.
"Hehe." Fluttershy giggled as she was now inches away from Rainbow's face.
Her heart sped up with the nurturer so close to her face. She watched patiently as Fluttershy covered the rabbit's eyes with her palm, who still sat in Rainbow's lap.
Rainbow winked at her, snickering. She began to lean in, as did Fluttershy, until their lips pressed together softly. Rainbow exhaled through her nose as she batted her eyes shut. Perfection every time. Fluttershy's lips' texture was equivalent to...the softest marshmallows. Yeah, that's definitely something Pinkie Pie would say, but it's the truth. The kiss was cut short, for the pair could barely contain their laughter. Fluttershy pulled her hand away from a confused Angel Bunny and looked back up at Rainbow.
Those eyes. Rainbow cannot get enough of them. Every day, it's like she's seeing them for the first time. Like when the two first met. For a little over a month now, Rainbow continued to allow herself to visibly get lost in them. They aren't just teal. They're troves of deep green. Seas of such tranquility and compassion of which could only come from such an awesome girl as Fluttershy. Well, seeming as Fluttershy is the only girl that's as awesome as Rainbow, that is.
