The secret

Hiii, guys... Not my first story.. I deleted others. I wanted to try something non zombie like, or scary. Hope you enjoy!!!

No one knows my secret. Well, a few people know, but they are a part of it. It all started when I went to Hawaii with my two bestfriends, and found an undiscovered part of the Island. This is our story.

-Flashback-

"Oh my goodness. You look really pretty in your new outfit!!" Ali, my one of my best friends, said. Rolling my eyes, I keep walking. "Yea, right. Let's just get this over with." I said. Gigi huffed. "You should be happy. We are in Hawaii. You'll never know when you would come back here." Now, I huffed. "Whatever." We were taking a look at the rest of the Island- what we didn't see yet, when I see something in the middle of thetrees.

"Hey, guys. I think I found somewhere else." They come over to where I am, staring at the greenness of the trees, and bushes. You can see little colorful flowers in it. I push through the trees, and they follow suit. What we saw afterwards was so remarkable... so beautiful... so peaceful. "Wow. It's beautiful." Said Ali. Gigi and I nodded in agreement. We stood there for about two more minutes, admiring the view, until I said, "Well? What are we waiting for? Let's explore!" and they started walking around, awe struck. We meet each other again, at the end of the newly discovered land, to see a beautiful lake.

"We jump in on 3." Gigi looked at me, and Ali, and we nod. "1... 2......" she pauses for a moment. "3!!" We jump in. The clear, blue water was perfect. It wasn't too cold, and it wasn't too warm. I heard Gigi laughing. "Usually, when three girls jump into a lake this perfect, someone jumps out of nowhere and takes our stuff... But we didn't leave anything out..." We laughed at her stupid remark. Suddenly, the water started bubbling. Ali laughed, uneasily. "What's going on?" We look around; too see nothing but steam, and bubbles. Then, it stops.

"Wow... Mini hot tub," Ali scoffed. We get out the water, and walk away. I stop. "Hey, guys? Let's keep this place a secret." They nod, agreeing with me. The next day, it was time to go home. We are ready, but we decided to meet back up after our shower. I get in my shower, and about 15 seconds in, I fall. I don't pass out, but I fall. And I don't have feet. I have a tail. I tried keeping calm, because I didn't want to alarm anyone. I happen to grab the knob for the shower, and I turn it off. I guess I don't get a shower. 15 minutes later, I have feet again.

Another five minutes later, I meet up with a nervous Gigi, and Ali. Ali pipes up. "Have you guys experienced anything.... fishy, lately?" She laughed uneasily. "Pun intended." Gigi and I laughed a little. "Maybe... What do you mean, 'fishy?' I experienced something with a tail, if we are on the same page..." Gigi trailed off after that. Ali nodded, and so did I. "I was a mermaid this morning. Its either I'm going crazy, or I am really a mermaid, when I touch water."

They nodded in agreement. "Let's go home." We walk to the airport, and stop in front of it. Right next to it, is a river. "Wait," I said. "Let me take in the fresh air of this beautiful Island, before I leave." I raise my hand, and I happen to hear Gigi and Ali gasp. I turn to them. "What?" They point in the direction of the water. I turn, and the water is two feet above the land. "Wow...." Gigi grabbed me, and pulled me inside. "How did you do that?" I shook my head. "I have no idea." She gave me a water bottle. "Try it again."
