Heroes? It's more like sacrificial lambs thrown into the lion's den. Tsk! The irony of it all!
I can't shake being cynical in this awful situation. Is it really worth it? You know, being here fighting tooth and nail, risking my precious life while back home I have a household to run. There, I am a hero in my own right. I'm your regular "dakilang ina". While here, it could be a waste of time serving ungrateful people. Huh! Mind boggling piece of s___!
Nevertheless, like a woman with integrity and character whose heart is big enough to serve others, albeit annoyance, I continued with my call of duty .On the ensuing weeks up until the last day as I hop to the next accommodation.
