Bakugou pulled away from Kirishima deliberately. He stared at him, starry-eyed, and hugged him tightly. The two of them giggled and spent the rest of the night stealing kisses from each other beneath the moon's sharp rays.

When the sun finally rose the next morning, they were covered entirely in dirt and grass. But, neither of them were tired. If anything, they were more sprightly than before.

"Ugh, now that I've accepted your confession, you're going to be clingy, aren't you?" Bakugou rolled his eyes. Kirishima was already chronically clingy, to begin with, but in moderation out of the fear that Bakugou might leave him. So, now that the two were a pair, his clinginess was sure to worsen.

"How could I not be? You're the love of my life, you know." Bakugou's face flushed red in an instant and he quickly averted his gaze.

"D-don't say things like that!" Kirishima laughed and took Bakugou's hand.

"Haha, sorry, sorry, you'll forgive me, won't you?" He trailed a finger up and down Bakugou's palm.

Bakugou didn't protest. Kirishima was delighted and as curiosity took control, he brushed his finger along Bakugou's wrist.

"That's enough, don't go any further!" Bakugou pointed a finger at Kirishima's face.

The redhead grabbed his hand and pressed it against his cheek, distraught.

"Christ, your mannerisms are that of a dog's." Bakugou sneered. Kirishima smiled and held onto his hand tighter. Bakugou didn't scold him this time, it seemed he didn't mind holding hands.

"That they are. Is this as far as you'll go with me?" Kirishima was more than pleased by just holding hands, but he wanted to poke fun at Bakugou a little.

"For now. Let's pace ourselves, okay." He wasn't expecting that answer. Kirishima blushed profusely at the implication and promptly shifted his gaze to a lone blade of grass growing tall under a massive willow tree.

The grass was an unusual color. At first glance, it was green but, upon closer inspection, it seemed to flush a vibrant shade of pink, and then blue, and yellow.

"Bakugou! Look at this grass!" Bakugou rolled his eyes and looked over at Kirishima lovingly.

"Haha, trying to change the subject already, I see." Bakugou laughed. His smile was adorable. Especially when adorned by the sun's warmth. His eyes gleamed, reminiscent of two polished rubies while he brought a hand to Kirishima's face and met his gaze tenderly.

He ran a hand through Kirishima's ruddy locks and curled a strand of hair around his finger. Kirishima was seething with anticipation, waiting for Bakugou's soft lips to brush against his forehead.

Bakugou leaned forward and pressed his fine lips to Kirishima's cheek. Softly, he pulled away. A pale blush painted his skin while he grabbed hold of Kirishima's callused hand and pulled him up.

"We should get going soon, there are things that we need to tend to back home." Kirishima was a bit inconvenienced by the sudden ask but, he didn't whine.

"Yeah, but can we come back here soon?" Bakugou smiled and laced their fingers together. He squeezed Kirishima's hand with a pained look in his eyes.

"It'll...probably be a while before we have any time to ourselves..." (A/N: ooooh foreshadowing) Kirishima's smile dropped into a frown. What was Bakugou going on about?

"Ah, sorry to scare you. It's...just a feeling." Bakugou smiled at him and dusted the dirt from his pants with his spare hand.

Kirishima stopped in the middle of the dirt path and bent down. He picked something out of the ground and ran to Bakugou who eyed him suspiciously.

He tucked a bright red flower behind Bakugou's ear and flashed him a blinding smile.

"Say, Bakugou..." he trailed off. Bakugou directed his attention to the red-head and stood in silence.

"If something bad does happen... I just want you to know that I won't leave you, okay." Bakugou chuckled dryly.

"You will when you find out the nature of the things I've done."

"That's not true! I've done worse, I have so please, trust that I won't leave you..." Kirishima clutched Bakugou's hand tightly.

"Okay...but, you have to promise me that." Kirishima's eyes burned, tears licked at his cheeks while he pulled Bakugou into a tight embrace.

"I promise. I promise that I won't leave you." The words fell out of his mouth quicker than he intended them to and Bakugou melted in his arms.

With a shaky breath, Bakugou hugged him back and the tension eased from his body.

"Okay, I'll try." Kirishima smiled and planted a firm kiss on his lips. He cupped his face and deepened the kiss to the best of his ability. It wasn't a very good kiss, it was messy and Bakugou could taste the faint salty flavor that lingered on Kirishima's lips on his.

That was to say that neither of them minded. Kirishima was exactly the support that Bakugou needed. Bakugou was just happy to be enveloped in the warmth of another who loved him.

They broke away from the hug in unison, pushing off of each other begrudgingly, and continued along the path. The dirt path ended abruptly and formed an uncertain cobblestone road. Frost licked at Bakugou's bare arms and sent a chill up from his fingertips.

He trembled slightly under the wind's frosty touch. Kirishima panicked for a moment before an idea popped into his head. He hastily removed the tattered scarf from his neck and wrapped it loosely around Bakugou's.

"There, now you're all bundled up!" Kirishima grinned. Bakugou smiled and patted him on the head.

"What am I gonna do with you?"

I promised angst, I'm sure but I lied to you, my dear viewers. The fact is, it took me all day to finish this chapter when usually it takes me under an hour and I'm 100% losing the motivation to continue this story. That, however, doesn't mean that I'll discontinue it. This only means that chapters might get shorter or there might be longer time intervals in-between updates.

Aaaanyway, thanks for reading my story! There's definitely gonna be some *ahem* action sooner or later along with major plot points and of course, character development.
